Can be up to 20 in my experience. On college campuses acid demand > acid supply, so the people with connections can charge a huge markup.

You know if you wanted to you could make over a gallon of your own for roughly under 50 bucks. So that could yield you easily 10,000 in profit.

Acid is very cheap to make, but the problem is, if you get caught with that much liquid your going to jail for a LONG ass time. Not to mention the dangers when handling that much of a dangerous drug like LSD.

O I wish I grew up in the 60s...

I always heard it was very tough to make and there were only a few people making it who all got busted up like ten years ago out in Cali, thus the recent (recent as in 10 years) shortage.

Truth. There was one guy who made virtually all the acid in the U.S.(supplied the 90's Dead shows)

The last really good LSD I did in the U.S was in 1984-1986. In the 1990's it was weak and uneventful. (but the shrooms were good). Haven't done that type of thing since 1995.

Funny, when I was doing it in the mid 80's the old timers said acid quality had been going downhill since Owsley's day.

Ecstasy was legal. You could put a hit on your Visa card in the Dallas clubs. $20

Meth is usually sold by the point though (.1g's) ... so a gram of meth is really a lot more then a gram of coke. I'd say the meth is "cheaper".

What does a cap of ecstasy cost in AUS? They go for $10 on average here.

you can get it cheaper but its based on supply and demand.
ecstasy is $40, $35 if you buy more usually. It is also WAY better than what you get in the US on average.

Note you could buy all this stuff cheaper if you bought a lot obv, tis is kind of like 'club prices'.

Can confirm expensive price of meth / coke. Remember these are .au prices tho (about 80% of USD).

Magicninjas prices are western Australia, ecstacy is $20 now in Brisbane if you buy 10 or more and $25 for the average punter.

Yes as someone said everyone here buys meth in points (0.1g) ammounts for $50 each but the discount is only $400 for a full gram. In Melbourne the price for a gram can be as low as $200 but is usually $250.

Acid is not popular anymore, because it isn't the "in" type drug. The "in" type drugs now a days are,

Prescription pills- especially in the Northeast, Oxy-Contin is huge and this usually leads to heroin abuse. When I say abuse not meaning a needle, but most oxy-addicts will at least begin sniffing dope, since it is much cheaper then paying a dollar a miligram.

Ecstasy- was huge when I was 16-20, Im 25 now so, don't know much about E, not popular in my neck of the woods.

Meth- For all the Hics down in Arkansas, Fl, and anywhere else where people like to smoke cough medicine and like to destroy their body after a years use.

And obv - coke and h will always remain popular no matter where your from.

Everything is still popular in the club scenes obv. It's just a matter of who you know. When i lived in Chicago i could get anything as i had some clubby dealer friends (though i quit drugs 4 years ago). Here in Seattle i hang with a bunch of old hippies so if i wanted i could get Acid, weed, or shrooms but that's about it. Im guessing they could get Ecstasy too if i asked.

Acid is a weird drug geographically. In downtown Chicago in the late nineties people paid $2 to 5$ a hit... 8$ tops if desperate. I could take that acid drive it 90 minutes west to Dekalb (NIU) and get 20$ a hit for it. I heard from a friend that he would go 2 hours south to UofI and get more than 20$.

I was under the impression that acid can be synthesized fairly easily and efficiently if the producer has..

a.) a reasonable chemistry background. (I think the average winning poker player could probably pull it off if they had a chemist walk them through it)

b.) a source for lysergic acid (the precurser which can be obtained from ergot)

I believe that getting your hands on lysergic acid is fairly difficult, and the penalties for possesion of it or producing LSD are insanely high. Long prison terms and such.

This coupled with the fact that LSD is not the most profitable of drugs.

You could make a hell of a lot more for yourself by making meth or ecstacy. I think economics is the major reason there is so little american made LSD these days.

Coke is hard to price bc it's honestly the quality that matters. Last time I did acid was in HS, it was 5 bucks. We got it from Central Park, but that was a long time ago.

If you want to find cheap acid talk to hippies. They aren't necessarily going to get you the greatest stuff (though they can sometimes), but they are the subculture most likely to be into it. If you make it known that you are a head to the right people eventually you will find a solid connection. The poster that said it isn't popular is right, but it's popular with some people and if you associate with them you can find it in abundance.

The poster that said acid is not hard to make is probably wrong depending on your definition of "not hard". You'd need at least some amount of university education related to the subject, as well as a well stocked lab (in terms of equipment and supplies). Googling "lsd manufacture" will give you enough information to see all the barriers to entry.

coke is pretty big as well, and marijuana has become basically mainstream.

So wrong. You need to be extremely advanced in chemics to be able to produce good LSD. There are something like 12 (there are a lot more that could, but just dont) people in the entire U.S. that manufacture LSD. One dose of LSD is like 50mcg's. If you had pure LSD, you could fit enough in a suitcase to dose every single person in the USA. If you are able to produce and push acid, the return on your investment is much, much greater than ecstasy or meth.
