SSNL Study Groups
 

Ok, I finally have tons of time to play (and I'm finally serious about getting better and moving up) so here is my idea:

I want to get groups of 3-4 players of similar stakes. Each group member will make a video (30 minutes to 1 hour, whatever the group decides for themselves). Each group member will watch the other videos and then the group will have an AIM (or whatever you decide) chat meeting to discuss each video.

If 4 group members each make a 30 minute video, the whole "project" will take around 5 hours to complete. I'd like to do this on a monthly basis, if there is enough interest.

I will assign the groups once everybody has replied- I want to get each group fairly balanced with (hopefully) 2 old-timers/regs and 2 new contributors to SSNL. YOU MUST CONTRIBUTE TO THE STRAT POSTS IN THIS FORUM TO PARTICIPATE.

I'd like whoever is interested to reply in this thread with the site they play on, the stakes they play, and the times that are most convenient for them, and I will form the groups once nobody else is replying that they are interested.

If we can get even 10-12 players that will do this I think we will all improve immensely, and we will have all helped each other within just a few months.

200NL whenever, FTP whatever time but i prefer weekdays day time(games so soft) also i suggest you bump the video time to 1 hr to increase the chance of interesting hands.

in i play 100nl + 200nl mostly with some shots at 2/4 and 3/6.

I would be interested. This week I dont know if I will be playng much but starting next week I should be putting in a ton of hours, and would like to participate in this during that time. I play 100NL

I think a much more efficient way to doing this would be to use desktop sharing software. You can download Webdialogs Unyte here: http://www.unyte.net/

This is a sick program that I recently dloaded (free LDO) and have used successfully to sweat sessions. Also, it integrates with Skype, which would make things even easier. This is a great idea btw.

hell yeah...sounds like an awesome idea...just had to drop back down to 100NL due to huge PLO downswing and withdrawals...looking to really start working on my game again.

After college is over id be up for this,coz im gonna be playing ALOT more hours then. Will post my aim/msn/icq or whatever people use then. At the moment i play 2hours a day max and dont have much time infront of the computer after that.

200NL stars, and will take a shot at 400nl and try not to get beaten up again when i get to 40k$

willw9: im a bankroll nit. and im not good enough to beat 400NL for a better hourly than im getting at 200nl at the moment so i dont see any need to move up.

im still debating on whether or not to play 500K hands at 200NL just to see what kind of winrate i can sustain. I may or may not try shottaking when i get to 40k$ (hopefully end of this month..probably the start of next month tho)

With that said, I'll be playing Party $200NL for the most part this next month or so, and I'll make a video no problem, assuming someone tells me how.
