It would be nice if Party Poker would offer a continuous rewards program.

A rewards programs like the Acceler-8-tor that would be continious.

They pay the affiliates anyway. Why not pay a portion of that to the players directly?

I sent them an email earlier today asking about the popup. I got the following response.

My target was 1345 (I think - off the top of my head), so this is consistent with the 25% reduction.

In response to your email we wish to advise that unfortunately, the pop up regarding the VIP promotion and the information in the "My Account" section of the website has been temporarily disabled. However, our technical team is working on resolving the matter and this should be rectified in the next 24/48 hours.

As a special concession to our VIP player, to compensate for time lost at our tables during our recent upgrade, we have reduced the points target total for Week 2.

You target for Wednesday 15th February 00:00 EST to Tuesday 21st February 23:59 EST is as follows:

Earn 1090 Player Club Regular Points and we will credit a bonus of $130 to your real money account on Thursday 23rd February.

We will also credit you with the additional $10 if you achieve your target for a second week. 10% extra points, based on 1090, will get you 10% extra bonus.

It's not necessarily the "being an ass" (sometimes we deserve it) that keeps us from posting here, it's more the quantity than the quality.
We would love more than anything to answer each and every question, but when the threads become unbearable, and the questions continuously repeated, its impossible to wade through it all.
All of us have a job to do, and we are working hard to improve things. We realize that there are areas of concern and things me must improve. We wont get those done if we are reading 2+2 all day!
I can assure that if an issue is raised here we see it and evaluate it. We wont always respond, but if its something that should be addressed it will be.

And to answer the question about the pop-up; the new pop-ups have not gone out yet, but should tonight. If you don’t see yours feel free to write to [email protected] to find out your new target.

I'm not sure if you are able to assist me but I have an issue that I am getting no response to that deals with the prize I received for the winter scratchoff promotion. I won a 9" Phillips portable DVD player but I actually received a Toshiba DVD player that is the kind you plug in to your tv which is obviously not portable. I've sent several e-mails to Daniel Wexler and have not received a reply. One other poster at 2+2 receieved an e-mail stating that the prize received is what was promised. I disagree. A portable DVD player is much different from what was sent. Please respond and let me know what Party Poker is doing in regards to this issue.

Is it JUST 25% fewer points for the SAME amount of bonus?


I'm still not sure whether that would make my bonus worth pursuing. But it would certainly make it closer.

I'm not going to lie, I hate the software upgrade, but I think the promotion is pretty sweet. I have to play a touch more than usual, but it's worth it, especially since I think I can make it all 8 weeks. In addition, it's an external source of motivation to get hands in, which for most serious players should be welcome.

Who's being an ass? Oh, you mean that offering honest criticism in an arguably funny tone should not be tolerated. Criticism of an irresponsible, poorly executed software upgrade that has had many problems ranging from silly things like button display problems to much more serious things like removing files from the computer that it has no business making changes to - all the while showing complete deniability to their customer base.

Expressing displeasure about this should not be condoned - is that what you're telling me?? Hey, as long as they offer 20% to $100, who cares, right??

I'm as critical as anyone about party's problems.
I'm certainly not a sheep (at least, I don't think I am).
But I don't think that all the "F You Party!!!" statements that we get in thread after thread after thread is really going to help anyone.

It's just players venting out of frustration and it doesn't really accomplish a whole lot.


I agree that it would be nice if they addressed a couple of the issues that I don't think they have responded to (such as the removing files and images and all that business that I don't really understand).


But instead of saying, "Hey you stupid pieces of s---....are you going to acknowledge your responsibility or not?"

I choose to say, "Ummm....perhaps you would care to address this issue. Some players here are reporting that their computer has gotten REALLY messed up because of your software upgrade. We would appreciate an explanation."


If you just want to insult Party then go with the first method.
If you actually want to increase the chances that Party will respond then go with the second.


I am as bothered as anybody by certain situations with Party. But I just don't see why bashing them in an internet-forum that we are TRYING to get them to participate in is going to actually make things better.

I have to say that this is an extremely nice gesture partypoker and I almost feel bad about some of the comments I've made previously. If you continue to treat VIPs this well, I'll be forced to move your site to #1 in my book.

BTW-can you do something about the lag and resource hogging on the new partypoker client?

Unfortunately, this just takes me from 46 hours of 6-tabling down to 42 hours of 5-tabling so it still isn't in my comfort zone of achieveable goals.


Hi Party - I would really really really love to do one of these acceler-8-or promos.
Some consideration for those of us who don't have nearly 50 hours to dedicate to 5 or 6 tabling would be wonderful.



Whatever reward you want to give me for 20 hours of 4 tabling I will be more than happy to consider.

Do you think this is fair? (since so many others are somewhere around this range)

Hello im wondering if it is planned that you guys take both the weekly bonus goal from the partypoints AND the MGR, it seems a bit unfair to the affiliate who signed me if you are removing "funds" from both the MGR and my Partypoints to fund the bonus for me.

It would be very very useful if you guys put the part that says "you have accumulated X points this week" back at the bottom of the popup. There are all kinds of deposit points and people get really pissed off when they think they have met a target but actually missed it, and that prevented a lot of it. Otherwise I am v happy with the upgrade and accelerator, thanks.

I'm sure you're really worrying about your affiliate here, nothing to do with any sort of illegitimate deal you might have set up with him/her [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

Seriously, though, think about what you're saying. Party pays its affiliate for generating gross revenue. Paying you bonuses is taking away from the gross revenue they make on you.. so they pay "your affiliate" less.
