Movies that made you cry (or close)

Ok not cry, but caused your eyes to prickle a bit.

Iron Giant - the end
City of God - the 'hand or foot' bit
Naked - the ending (out of frustration at the main character)
Chinatown - the end

and you?

Recent ones I can think off.

Grave of the Fireflies (saddest movie I've ever seen)
Million Dollar Baby

And when I was about 8 or so I balled my eyes out at the end of The Champ. Have still never watched it again since.

Neither I, or any of my male ancestors have ever shed a tear for ANY reason, let alone a movie. If I weren't made of titanium, "Cinderella Man" might have had this effect on me. Good thing it didn't, otherwise I'd have to kick my own ass...

Eyes Wide Shut - When they're all [censored] at the orgy and he gets caught as an imposter. The nameless prostitue girl offers herself in his place knowing she would die at the hands of the masked freaks. I didn't cry but got a bit damp eyed, prolly cause I saw it with a really emotional GF and we'd just got back together.

The Babe. Not Babe, with the pig. The Babe Ruth movie with John Goodman. For some reason I cry at 3 different points whenever I watch this movie. But it's about sports so it's ok.

Gladiator, crouching tiger hidden dragon, hero, house of flying daggers, man on fire and braveheart all mess with me.

Million dollar baby did too. Gallipoli did the first couple of times I saw it.

I dunno why a movie can affect me while real life events don't.

EDITED TO ADD:

Waking the Dead with Billy Crudup and Jennifer Connelly. My back was out, I had been on my living room floor for four days, I wasn't sleeping, and I was on pain medication. It came on HBO or something and I cried my freaking eyes out. I don't know if the movie is actually that good or sad, but at the time it totally blew me away.

Riding in cars with boys

The part where the screw-up dad has to leave his son always gets me. Mostly cause I'm a screw-up and my kid is about that same age, and I'd die if I had to leave him.
