Casinos (with poker) between Dallas and Las Vegas?

Here's the route I'm taking.

I'm probably going to make three stops along the way, if I can. Anyone know of any casinos close by this route, or even, taking a slightly longer way?

www.casinocity.com has a directory. Search by state.

http://www.pokermashup.com/ is a much friendlier sorta way to check a given route. Can't vouche for its accuracy, though. Basically you're going to be driving through a poker wasteland. ABQ is about it near that route. Swing through PHX (somehow) and you have some options. But if you're coming to Vegas, you really don't need poker along the way--just drive until you drop and you won't be worried about entertainment after you stop.

There's more poker if you take the I-10 route.

I took this route when i moved out to vegas at the beginning of the year. You should definitely just drive straight thru. The action in vegas is just too good to waste your time with smaller casinos that are not directly along your route.

West side of ABQ is Route 66 casino, with poker. That is on I-40, you'll pass it on your way. If you want to take a slight detour, Sandia Casino is on the north side of ABQ (about 15 minutes north of the I-25/I-40 interchange). Sandia is the best poker room in New Mexico IMO. About 15 minutes south of I-40 on I-25 is Isleta Casino, and they have a poker room too.

I played at the Sandia and Isleta about 1 1/2 years ago on my way to Las Vegas. I was staying in Albuquerque for several days to check out the town.

Sandia was the best. Big room, wide range of limits, well run.

It's about 600 miles from Las Vegas, so it is a possible stop for you.

The same trip I stopped at Laughlin and played one night, I think at the Flamingo. I won, so it was good.

Other than those two towns, I'd say just drive straight to Las Vegas.

Don't bother to change your schedule to stop at either place. But if they fit in, give them a try.

Hey Keys...just take care of the car as I'm counting on your playing driver

That said, if you stop anywhere (I mean, why not get to Vegas as fast as possible?!?), Sandia Casino in Albuquerque is the only place worth a damn. It's my "home" casino and it's quite well run. 15 tables with 1/2 NL w/ $200 max BI and sometimes either a 2/5 NL game w/ $500 max BI or a mixed game that's over your head

BTW, when you shoot thru Amarillo, gimme a holler, I'll buy a drink if I'm not at work!

If you take 10 and go through Phoenix, there is good poker there.

Answered. And seriously...Sandia is the only stop worth making along that route, imo.
