so i dont really play live a lot, my buddy raj told me they opened up like 25 new tables and spread 10-20 NL now, so im prob heading up there today after i get some sleep. i presume ill be there by about 5 or 6 pm, and will likely be challenging ppl to HU. i dont really know how the live stuff works up there, so they prob wont allow that, but yea. ill be there, so post in here with what ur wearing or something before you leave and we can meet! ill prob be wearing plaid shorts and have some sort of track jacket or zipper hoodie. see ya there.

Read my last trip report on Winstar from last week....they don't uniformly spread 10/20NL, but with a little antagonism you can get it started...and challenging people to HU 10/20 is obv the way to go..that is how I got it started last week

I will be starting out at 1/2NL, but will move to 2/5 if I get the impression that the cards aren't going to keep kicking me in the nuts like the past two months.

7 hour wait list.
waited 2 hrs and went from 88 to 81 on the 5-10nl list

wow ok if lists are as long as eveyrone is saying, im prob gonna hold off on going. im pretty impatient, so.. i guess ill wait till during the week? is it usually less crowded then? maybe ill head up there on tuesday or something.

Yeah, don't go today. You won't get seated. Try tomorrow. Things should be back to normal because of no promos.

This is grand opening weekend for the new room. They are having 500$ splash pots and giving away a G35.

That's the only reason the lists are long. normally weekends are just fine.

Played from 11p to 5a, gave away a bunch of my profit, went out to Karl's car to take a nap, came back at 9a and put my name on 4/8 and 6/12. At 3pm, I had gone from 47th on 6/12 to 46th.

4/8, I went from 114th or thereabouts to roughly 50-60th. QueueOS only lists "Andre" as my name, and there were two Andres, so who knows.

It's gotta suck for the casual player who saw the ads and won't get seated today, like oh... everybody on this page who thought to go. Check back another night, the new room usually means prompt seating, although with the hype, maybe that will change as well.

Floor also had a few bright ideas today, like having chips at the ready at the table to dish out when starting a new table. It's nice to see they think proactively OCCASIONALLY.

I got there about 9:30, and there were 176 people on the 1/2NL list. Screw that. I turned around and drove to Choctaw and got a seat within a minute of getting there.

Yeah, see... it's not normally like that. Or it hasn't been prior to this. Now that they've publicized the room's expansion, who knows.

actually I have played HU with a rake break up there after the 5-10 must move broke, JT,(SitandStack) and me sat there and played HU for like 3 hours while the floor man filtered other new players into the Main Game.

anyways I will be there sun, mon and tues If you wanna go take a smoke break i'm down, I'll be wearing a white backwwards hat with long shaggy blond hair. (kind of fat, that just means I can afford to eat good!)

I have several friends that went yesterday. I talked to some who were almost there at 7am and I understand they actually got seated at a table around 2pm. Another guy I played with in Dallas last night said he'd been there several hours on the 2/5 list and was like #60 on the list and gave up and came home.

I hope this is just a grand opening all the crazy people going thinking they'll win a car thing. I've been to the new room 3 times prior to yesterday and never had to wait more than a few minutes for a seat at 2/5 and they've always had multiple 5/10 going too.

I just called the poker room and they said the crazy crowd is gone and there is no wait on most tables. Heading up this afternoon. 1/2NL.

Just got home from 14 hour session at 5/10NL...live poker must die...idiots who cooler me for 2k must die, oh but somehow won $1,000+ betting RED on the flop vs asian lady named Song...in $25 increments...RED FTW and somehow miscounted my cash and despite thinking I left +$100 I somehow magically won $600 in the game..ok live poker may live again

i just got back from a 28-hour session (9 pm friday to 1 am sunday)...

ususally play 2/5...took a shot at 5/10 and quickly lost 1500. really irritating b/c the game was super soft, and i just played really bad(drinking before i went was probably a bad idea).

ended up playing 4/8 for most of the session. it was a nice break b/c i haven't played limit in about a year or so. highlight of that game was...

folds to sb(i'm in the bb), and i say, "wanna chop." he dosen't know what he's doing and throws in the 2. i saw ok, look down at AA, and raise. end up losing to J8o obviously.

one of the splash pots i saw (i was railing all the ones that hit the 5/10nl tables)...

515 in the pot preflop...guy w/about 4k or so opens to 300 and gets called in 2 or 3 spots.

flop T T 8

preflop raiser open pushes and gets called in 2 spots. he has both guys covered

preflop raiser shows 88, first caller shows 99, 2nd caller shows T9

turn 2, river 2 for board of TT822...i lol'd at the 8k pot.

in the response to the OP, i haven't seen them running 10/20nl in the last few weekends, but the 5/10 has a max of 2k, and usually plays pretty deep on the weekend.

i never have a problem getting a 2/5nl seat, but i've seen some people have to play 2/5 for a while waiting to get in a 5/10 game. so worth it though as it plays like 100 or 200nl online.

i think i know an asian lady named song from the dallas scene.. pcs maybe? such a long time ago though my memory fails me there. i remember her being quite gambooly tho.

Clearly I will not be putting up $10K vs someone as ridiculously lucky as you...I never thought live poker was rigged for lucksack jokes until I saw you play...but you are clearly invited to sit at any and all of my 1000NL tables when I am playing online...8 tabling Stars or 6 tabling Absolute...same screenname...it will be funny to see though when all the Sklansky bucks you owe become due

A $10K HU match would simply involve too much variance for my tastes. As far as all talk goes: come and play on all my tables on Stars or Absolute for a month and I promise I won't quit until you are broke or I lose $100,000. I play EVERY DAY for ~3K+ hands a day under the name PRIMOGENITOX.
