Looks like a 7 or a flush to me by the flop bet. May have hit 2 pair tho also.

A7, nothing, 33-99, flush. I'm always calling though, I think this is A7 and nothing a whole lot.

STandard (if you call).

When you get shown a flush laugh at villain (to yourself) and move on.

Who cares what his range is, your ahead of it enough to call.

easy call

Everything is pretty standard IMO. Good sized raise on flop. River is an insta call. You're definitely ahead here often enough to make it profitable.

Re: Standard donkbet defense

well if he isnt a retard, and bets $22 on the river instead of $10, wtf do u do?
did he stumble across a clear bluff spot? would u consider calling?

i'm happy to bluff with the best hand here
if u bet the turn, instead its villains turn to post a thread titled:

'marginal overpair (or TPTK) on turned flush board'

Yeah but that donkbet-call on the flop is pretty much a big hand or junk, it's basically never something that beats me that he would fold.

i would think he does i with absolutely every TP

I bet the turn here as well, apart from anything as protection against 5's, 8's, T's and hearts on the river. Particularly if villain is awful and chases a lot. Get some value out of him/protect your hand on the turn and check the river if he calls.

It's also much easier for him to bet out with nothing on the river into a small pot where you've shown weakness than it is for him to bluff raise your second barrel on a scary turn.

He means hes happy to bluff as villain on the river with a hand like a middle pair or tpnk. Even though it may be the best hand he can bluff out a fair few better hands.

i'm happy to bluff the turn turn as hero, or bluff the river as villain. as villain i certainly bet midpair+ on the river

Re: Standard donkbet defense

Bluffing the turn as Hero with K9 here blows imo since the line villain has taken is a draw a lot, which a lot of obviously got there on the turn.

Re: Standard donkbet defense

its not a pure bluff, its a value bet too.

Re: Standard donkbet defense

Ok misunderstood you. I doubt any better hands fold though given villain description.

Yeah, I'm not sure how a turn bet is considered a bluff. I bet the turn to get calls from 8s, single hearts, and one pair hands we beat, and to hopefully get a free river showdown.

I guess a turn bet resembles a bluff insofar as it cannot withstand any heat...

very good advice

Re: Standard donkbet defense

Sometimes I bet the turn here to get value and it makes it easier to play the hand on the river. I figure if he calls turn/bets river or reraises turn its easy to let go and if he has tp then we can get more value. On the flipside I can see playing the way op did but then Im sitting there like should I call the river bet?
