Straight faces river raise from unknown
READS: Villain is unknown, but judging by his stack size and some initial observation he is probably a bad player.

Re: Straight faces river raise from unknown
this is just about a call from the raise size, but i think u lose around 76% of the time
|
Re: Straight faces river raise from unknown

|
Re: Straight faces river raise from unknown

Re: Straight faces river raise from unknown
i like when people use not commonly used numbers, its fun.
|
Re: Straight faces river raise from unknown
its actually 75.666666666667, but i was rounding up
|
Re: Straight faces river raise from unknown
Id like you to be more exact, in the future, use decimals please.
|
Re: Straight faces river raise from unknown
this is two pairs or slowplayed set soooo often. call fo shizzle
|
Re: Straight faces river raise from unknown
dude, its just a combination of pokerstove, bayes theorem and tufat23 regression.
note: you have to use the prime number regression under the new beta model because its HU on the river |
Re: Straight faces river raise from unknown
I pushed (I figured villain had two pair most of the time here), villain called and showed 7s5s.
So is a push real bad here? |
Re: Straight faces river raise from unknown
not unless u think u can bluff him off a low FD, which is possible if he goes to billions of levels... but never at NL100.
u should also realise bluffing a flush on this board is tough, cos its not obv he hit. i assume u were shoving for value, but i'm gonna tell u ure VERY often not good here |
Re: Straight faces river raise from unknown
LOL how is this a flush? shove all in and let him call you down with his set/two pair that he tried to slowplay

Re: Straight faces river raise from unknown
This is easily a flush, I never raise the river here.

LOL play a few hundred thousand more hands and then come back to this hand and see how wrong you are. [/ QUOTE ] After some thought after the hand, I definitely agree that this is a flush a lot. With no reads, I think a raise isn't good. |
Re: Straight faces river raise from unknown
This is a push and its not close. You have no reason to put him on spades and he does this with plenty of two pairs. I'm not quite sure why everyone automatically assumes he must have a backdoor flush draw here.
plus villain has ~30 left right? ez push plus villain limped button, which automatically makes him terrible |
Re: Straight faces river raise from unknown
He usually raises Aces up on this turn instead of river if he wants to raise with them, and I doubt that many people at this level are going to be raising KJ over this river pot here. Obviously a call is good but I think a shove sucks.
|
Re: Straight faces river raise from unknown
I am not saying its a flush all the time ike, but it can be, I just dont think anything worse calls your push.
Just call is best IMO. |
Re: Straight faces river raise from unknown
Villain limped the button, he very rarely has a hand that makes a set or a good two pair that he's going to stack off with.
|
Re: Straight faces river raise from unknown
I dunno about set, but 2pair point makes sense for sure.

I dunno about set, but 2pair point makes sense for sure. [/ QUOTE ] Only KJ makes any sort of sense though. AK raises PF, AJ doesn't call flop/should raise PF, 78 or a weird K8/K7 would probably raise the flop or turn. |
Re: Straight faces river raise from unknown
So ike, you like a shove here?
|
Re: Straight faces river raise from unknown
with the raise size, call. if villain was a solid nl100 player, I might fold. but you said you thought villain was a poor player. well call this down, expect that you prob lost, but if he did make this move with two pair or the like, then you use that info to take the rest of his stack during the next couple orbits. win-win. |
