My god did anyone else get angry at how stupid the guy against the bill was?

"Uhh uhh kids go online to do school work and are solicited by porno and gambling. uhh uhh this is bad uh its teaching people how to deceive others and uh uh make money doing it."

If your not looking at porno, or havnt on that computer, you dont get those kind of pop-ups.

Maybe the parents should be watching what there kids are doing online, not just ban everything for everyone else.

I was waiting for the supporter to say "Your a losing player aren't you?"

I want to kick that effing egghead in the throat. What an uninformed, narrow minded opinion.

The guy against the bill has a problem with underage gamblers but the bill regulates this for only 18 and over. Also I hate how he refers to college students as 'kids'.

Anyone else think its good that the opposition guy is a retard?? Honestly I would rather that then someone who has somewhat intelligent remarks that counter this poker push.

I like it. The enemy's argument was weak. The newsperson questioned his lame statements. GREAT. I believe we won this battle. Many more to go.

Our strongest point is that gaming is going to happen regardless of what law is in place. The choice is not between gambling and not gambling, but between unregulated gambling and regulated gambling, between loss of wealth and retention of wealth.

Look at how many states are now starting casinos or expanding casino games. The main reason it seems to me is because they are tired of losing money to nearby states that already have expanded gaming.

This is the one point we have that we know can move even reluctant legislators to action.

It's funny how whenever someone is brought in to speak against online gambling, their entire argument is how "gambling is bad". I mean really...

LMAO

That stance holds zero water when you speak about it in one breath, but in the other breath you condone LEGAL gamble venues - INCLUDING ONLINE (That's right, ONNN-line) horse racing, and lotteries.

LMAO at this also.

That guy's practically admitting to having viewed porn on his own computer.

I like how many "I bet", "Senator Franks is betting on", "I'd wager", etc... were dropped in this video.

I pretty much wanted to punch everyone in the face.

I was baffled when the half-wit tried to bring porn into the discussion about internet gambling legislation. But then again, I guess internet porn is also a form of social cannabalism already soliciting and devouring innocent children by the millions. Alas, we don't live in a utopian dreamland where the thought police swoop in and interfere everytime a teenager thinks about wacking off to a website.

The biggest problem facing this bill is that there are A LOT of people that are this ignorant and hold the same illogical views concerning these types of issues. These are the same people who oppose legalization of pot because it is "bad."

That guy was the head of the DGE in AC, talk about credibility on the issue - this other clown is a nobody

Re: H.R. 2046 Debate on Closing Bell today on CNBC

Yes, it was sort of an interesting juxtaposition and I was thinking exactly the same thing. On the right you have somebody (an attorney) who's been in the business for years in AC, and then on the left you have...some dude with a 1980s shirt and haircut who is heading a no-name Christian values cult. Guy on right says "yes," guy on left says, "no," and thus we have a tie debate (since a no always cancels a yes--Journalism 101 apparently). LOL cable newsaments.

I thought this arrguement was halarious. Does this idiot realized they just passed a bill that said internet pornography was 100% legal? You could just feel how uncomfortable the guy was trying to find a way to not make it too obvious that he's a hypocrite and a moron.
