Calling out 3 ranked tourney players..
 

Sometime this summer I'd be willing to bet 3 ranked players on pocketfives.com 1000 dollars each that I can make more money than them in one month 12 tabling no higher than 2/4 NL for 8 hours per day than the three of them's AVERAGE income for that same month. now i'm not sure if I'm going to do this yet, but there's a good chance I'm not going to work my summer job baling straw this year, so if I have plenty of time, I'd do this, and I bet I'd profit more than their average income. i'll keep you all posted in the next few months about doing this.

that's so dumb. why challenge them to something YOU'RE good at? what would that prove and why would anyone subject themselves to such a lose/lose situation where they are "supposed" to beat you if they win but will never hear the end of it if they lose. make it an mtt challenge and i'm sure you'll find action.

I would def take this bet if it counted all my poker profits for a month and the bet was in the 5 figures and there was some way to 100% guarentee you couldn't cheat.


You're basically saying "If I 12 tabled 8 hours a day I could probably make more than the guys who play ~8 tournies a day"

edit: It's hard to play 250k hands but assuming you can do it all your proving is that you're great at grinding.

He should definitely be balling hay, think of how good it will look on his resume. Don't want to have to explain the resume gap - playing poker will probably be short term +$EV, but you have to keep the long run in perspective.

When aejones wanted a bet like this it was a terrible bet for the tournament guys because a tournament player may only make at or over his montly expectation two or three months in a year. (Do You See Why?) A fair bet would be crossbooking winnings. I'm playing more cash games now anyway but someone else might be willing to do that.

Oh and Troy I'll take your bet with you as stated for a min of 10k.

A lot of the top tourney guys here play 10/20+, so naturally it's a good idea for them to step down and play 2/4 8 hours a day for a month so they can win 1k. Did someone hit you with a shovel recently?

This just isn't true there are almost no players who's main game is tournaments and play 10/20+.(Note that I said main game so Ansky/Raptor etc. don't count).
