Dallas 2+2 home game
 

After unsuccessfully trying to find a Dallas 2+2 home game, I am trying to start up a friendly game myself, probably Omaha, and switch games to NL, stud or stud 8 periodically based on interest.

I play in a home game every Friday that has a mixed games table most weeks, we usually play some variation of HORSE, although some of the other guys like to throw in deuce to seven lowball to piss me off. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Disadvantages:
it's in Denton (not a disadvantage for me)
we play baby limit (.50/1)
it's in a garage (somebody from 2+2 came and was mildly freaked out by it)

I haven't decided yet. Probably start out small (.50/1)in Omaha, moving up as some of the novices get comfortable.

When we play NL, it will be 1/2 or 2/5 depending on the crowd.

I am in Keller and looking for a weekly/biweekly game within a stones throw. I would even be willing to host from time to time once I know the people showing up. Something in North Fort Worth, Grapevine, Southlake would be preferred. Denton isn't too far from me.

Ideal home game would be $50 buy in .25/.50 NL type game or even better would be $20 - $40 NLHE tournies with around 14+ people. That is my preference for a home game. Then start a NL game for the early outs.

*sigh* Seems the garage game is breaking up anyway. Good luck finding NLHE, I'm gonna go get that table and put it in my kitchen! Mixed games ahoy!

I'm obv in Denton as well and wouldn't mind playing in some 2p2 home games.

Edit: Probably not for 2 more weeks though...finals suck. By the way, once the summer gets here, I wouldn't mind hosting a few games at my apartment.

Just to update - still haven't grabbed the poker table from the guy who has it. Supposedly he wants to run a Friday night game too. What to do? Think I'm going to have a table built and buy some chips, so it may be a few more weeks.

By hook or by crook, I'm doing it this Friday night. 7:59pm, mixed games (50/1), on my bare kitchen table in Denton. Unless I get the table back from Jason. Whatever, it's going down. I'm tired of not getting my mixed fix.

Hey Gamblor,

Plano here (Preston/190). I have a table (Hot Shot) that seats 10. Nothing too fancy. One rip in cushion (which is why it was $40 off). Now that it's too dangerous to play underground, and the fact that my club (Straddle) just got busted, and the fact that I've had it with On-Line poker (Such BS), and the fact that I hate having to drive to Fing Oklahoma to play live, I'm looking for a local game.

I like mixed games. Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, Stud Hi/Lo, Razz, as well as Limit and NL Hold'em. Would like to try 2-7 Lowball.

Are you doing a home game in Dallas still? Let me know, I might be able to play some.

Did this ever get off the ground? I live in Denton and would love to save myself a drive in favor of mixed games.
