Re: NL 50: Maybe I overplayed my draw
I don't like it. You have a weak flushdraw and a gutshot straight draw on a paired board. I think it is better to raise the flop and slow down on the turn, than your approach.
He's playing it like an overpair or better. Putting him on the following range: TT+,77-66,ATs,ATo - your equity is 21%. Call and get a cheap river. |
Re: NL 50: Maybe I overplayed my draw
You have 12 outs here, so you'll hit 24% of the time. You're only getting 3:1 from the pot so I don't like calling his shove, especially with the board paired. Just try to get to the river cheap and go from there.

Re: NL 50: Maybe I overplayed my draw
Personally I would raise the flop in this situation. Depends on the villain and the read. If I am committed to going after the draw - I raise the flop. This often times causes the villain to slow down on the turn - giving you better odds.
If he doesn't slow down - then you know he has something proper. Also - against a good player - a raise can be read here as a draw - depending on the read they have on you. So be ready to fold a rr. Edit: I just read your read on the villain. Against that kind of player - smash that flop bet. His bet is continuation most likely. -Mike |

Re: NL 50: Maybe I overplayed my draw
Call, you're getting ok odds. I doubt you're folding anything.

Re: NL 50: Maybe I overplayed my draw
Mabuse, whose villian? With your numbers I doubt he's donking that turn often enough with stuff he's intending to fold. Also your odds are slightly worse on paired boards.

Re: NL 50: Maybe I overplayed my draw
Does anyone else not like this pf call?
You said villain is super aggro so your not going going to be drawing cheaply if you do get a chance to draw. I tend to only call raises with suited connectors if stacks are deep or if the villain is passive. I probably would have raised this flop. As played you should just call the turn bet. |
Re: NL 50: Maybe I overplayed my draw
Why do this against a LAG who you have no FE against?

Does anyone else not like this pf call? [/ QUOTE ]I think it's terrible, esp. if you play like this. In general I think it's terrible as well. |
Re: NL 50: Maybe I overplayed my draw
hmmm i dont really like this preflop...maybe multi way but i would have played this hand the total opposite from you. i raise flop. i fold preflop. i smooth call turn...are you a winning player? your style seems awfully action-hungry(no offense)

Re: NL 50: Maybe I overplayed my draw
Mabuse is probably a winning player, he's fairly aggro but probably mixes it up with TAGs a little too much. like I said I don't like the turn play and I think low flush draws on paired boards are kinda [censored] in general.
