Hi, I\'m an American fish with lots of money.

Prepaid Visa's have worked for me. Though, I've only successfully used the Visa Pre-paid platinum cards, they are black w/ a black paper case and have the text "platinum" on them.

I've tried the MasterCard prepaid cards and they did not work.

I 'm curious about those prepaid cards ...maybe it's less popular here in Canada. Are they like cash ? ...no connected me at all, like I can have a 6-digits$ on it & go in/out of the USA, without to be annoyed at the US/CAN border ?

The "Gift to Go" Visas at Walgreens work. They are drawn on an overseas bank. Make sure the fine print says accepted worldwide. $100 is the largest denomination I have seen and there is like a 6% fee at the register.

$100 max? thats almost pointless. I'd need dozens of them to even get started.

A regular credit card has worked for me on WPEX and BODOG.

DO NOT GET A USBANK VISA GIFT CARD. I got one after my check/debit card no longer worked. I bought one so I could try out full tilt (usually play on AP and Stars) It didn't work. It said the bank doesn't not allow this transaction or something to that extent. Now I have a $200 gas/grocery card
I was thinking about just opening a Wells fargo checking cause my buddies card works. Maybe I will try the wallgreens card. Or I could stick to AP the way people complain about FT.

Look at the moneygram option for both PokerStars and Fulltilt.

Moneygram transactions are done at the service deask in most Wal-marts and they only charge 4.95 regardless of the amount being transfered. Yes you have to get your lazy butt out of moms basement to go do this but its fairly quick (within 1 or 2 hours) of leaving Wal-mart. You can transfer large amounts up to 1k I believe. Much cheaper than more secure than Western Union.

Wells Fargo debit card works.
TD Ameritrade debit card works.

Anyone know why some banks still allow gambling deposits?

I recommend MoneyGram: $2500 for $9.95, very easy to do.

Re: Hi, I\'m an American fish with lots of money.

Bank of America debit card holders can use them on FTP. This didn't use to be possible, but my assumption is FTP's CC processor (Zuan Payments, according to my bank statement) is not yet associated with online gambling.

You CANNOT withdraw using your credit/debit card, so most people will want to open up an epassport, MyWebATM, or Click2Pay account. I am a bit wary of some of the newer processors as they ask for a lot more information than Neteller ever did and don't seem as secure. I make transfers to a friend with an account for withdrawals. FTP also issues checks, but I've heard about problems getting them cashed. There should be a few scattered threads in the Internet Poker forum.

moneygram is the best way right now IMO. Its 10 bucks no matter what you transfer. You can transfer up to 1500 a day 5000 up to 7 days,10000 in a month. Its safe secure and very easy.
