one nite free Paris or Bally\'s

My wife has a business trip in Vegas next week and I'm TAGing along for some poker R&R. This is a big switch because I'm normally the one working and she,s the tag along.

Anyway, we decided to leave a day early since she has to work all week and I have a free night's stay for Bally's or the Paris for Saturday.

Best recommendation and I will not be playing poker the first day out.

Many Thanks

GS

Paris is a little nicer and newer than Bally's but they are both mid-range hotels. Paris has a "outside in France" themed casino floor which might get old quick. They are right next to each other so there is not much to say about location. The poker rooms are both standard small-stakes rooms. I would probably walk across the street and play at Caesar's or Bellagio anyway.

I haven't seen the rooms in either hotel, but my guess is that Paris is slightly nicer if only because it is newer. I would probably pick Paris.

Paris for the food - good breakfast buffet - good pastry shop - fresh crepes, etc., and for the girls in the cute uniforms.

We're booked at the Paris with the Bellagio Fountain view for one hight and then we're off to the Monte Carlo for 5 days.

The wife is working and I'll be bounceing around town looking for the softest game I can find.

Thanks all,

GS

You won't have to bounce far, the Monte Carlo has soft low stakes games.

Paris and Ballys are basically the same place, they even share chips.

I spent a few days in Paris last month, nice rooms. Walk is father to Ballys where they have 20 to 10 poker tables. The breakfast buffet in Paris is excellent but fills up fast, 8AM is late if you hate lines.

stayed in both, Paris rooms newer/nicer, poker rooms not worth the bother compared to Caesars/Bellagio across the street

You can still get the higher quality hookers to not scuff at Paris, not so with Ballys.

Doesn't apply to you, but it will to someone here clicking on this.

Edit: Due note Paris is at the very bottom of the "high-end" list. If high-end is how someone rolls, staying at B/Caesars/V/Wynn/Mandalay/Palms makes things easier.

Forgot to put MGM Grand on the list of places for high-end trim for pay. I keep forgetting that big grotesque green pyramid exists.

I've recently stayed at both and I'd go with Paris as far as rooms
