Meanwhile, the Yankees are OLD, and pathetic up the middle (defensively). Instead of fixing that problem (by signing Beltran, they spent $20 million on 2 starters who have combined to pitch TWO better than league average seasons.

I agree that liking the red sox are probably the next bandwagon.
But what's wrong with every state of new england being a red sox fan? every state of new england has always been full of red sox fans, except for a few people from connecticut. Most people from New England relate to the city of Boston and consider it their capital more than any other city.

Nothing's really wrong with it, it's just that Yankee fans usually don't stop hearing about it if they don't live in the tristate area, which is lame.

I think if one spends his time rooting for the Yankees and Duke, he should be prepared for the fact that people will say he's just on the bandwagon. They may not be correct, but theirs isn't an unreasonable suspicion.

While I was driving from CA to NJ i stopped at a WALMART in the middle of nowhere Arizona. In the hat section there were a couple SUNS hats, a couple DBACKS hats. And 6 racks of Red Sox hats. That cemented it for me that the Sox are the new bandwagon team. Nothing against real sox fans, but the bandwagon should all go to hell.
