First movie you saw in the theater?

1978 - All I remember is a scene with a pool table (no, it wasn't The Accused...)

I'm not sure how I could possibly remember this.

First real recollection I think is the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, but I'm sure there was some Disney flick or something before that.

Jesus Christ Superstar is the first one I remember. Parents took me when I was 5 or so.

1980 - Empire Strikes Back, although I remember very little of the experience.

I think it was Jurassic Park. Definitely the first non-cartoon film I saw at the cinema.

E.T., but I also remember very little of the experience. I do remember the first movie we rented when we got a VHS was back to the future 1 though.

Snow White was the first in the theater. As far as non-animated, I think it may have been A River Runs Through It... don't know why the hell my paretns took me to that, but....

Look Who's Talking. I can still remember my aunt's awkwardness when i asked her about the "tadpoles" at the start.

I saw some old black and white comedies at some campground we used to go to as a kid, not really a "theater" but the first time I saw a movie with other people. I remember some movie about Bigfoot, showing that famous clip of one walking around, at a local theater. Probably akin to what would be shown on the Discovery channel these days.

I am sure I saw countless G rated moves before this (disney, etc.), but I do remember that the first PG rated movie I saw in the theater was the original Bad News Bears.

E.T. for me too. I just remember sitting in the front row and having to look way up at the screen the whole time.

I can't remember if it was Popeye or a 3-d version of Godzilla (the kind where you wear red/green glasses for the 3-d effect).

Going to watch a movie for the first time was a magical experience.

Does it have to be "inside" or can a drive-in count. I remember "Escape to Witch Mountain" or something like that at the drive-in and I remember seeing "Star Wars" in '77 at the Cine Capri here in Phx byatch's.

Star Wars (original) is first that I can remember, though my folks tell me I've been to movies before that. Just don't remember those.

Is it bad that the first movie I took my son to was Training Day?

He was 9 months old, and an awesome baby. Didn't make one peep.

I knew somebody would bring it up...

I'm a super-considerate person.

I was going to preface that by saying I wouldn't have taken my son if...

1. If he wasn't a good baby (rarely cried)
2. I wasn't willing to leave the theater immediately the second he starts crying

It's perfectly acceptable if you aren't a douchebag and understand that other people's ability to see the movie in a comfortable environment comes before your right to bring a baby to a movie.

Star Wars. I was seven I think and our teacher took the whole class. She must have been cool. My mum wasn't impressed as she thought that it must be too violent for young minds. Mums suck.
