Clubs in Vegas

Never been.

Looking to find a hot place for my girlfriend and I on a Saturday night. Any suggestions?

What's the right way to do clubs in Vegas? Mainly looking to get in fairly easily.

take her to pure, mix, jet, or studio 54, then just get her back to your room. the clubs are just hype, i didnt really realize this till last weekend when i was really really stoned, but clubs are really just a hyped up room with some music playing. and there is really no reason to go unless oure single and looking for some easy hoes, and in fact even easier hoes can be found elsewhere... make her happy and take her somewhere for a few hours

He's not looking for a rant on why nightclubs suck.

He is looking for tips for getting in a bit easier on a Saturday night which for a newcomer in LV might not be so easy to figure out.

I don't really know the scene that well but I think that 'arrive early' might be the best advice on this one as most people don't enjoy waiting in line.

Others will tell you that the ONLY way to do a club in Vegas is to spend the dough and get your own table with bottle-service but that's pretty pricey.

You have four choices.

1) wait in line

2) Be increadibly hot, walk up to the door and act important

3) Reserve a table in advance

4) Have your casino host or nightclub promoter take care of it for you.

5th option - Make sure the doorman is your old roommate from 19 years ago. Works like a charm for me, VIP treatment.

One option that is probably less often used by most is simply go to one of the less popular clubs. While I really think Jet and Pure are awesome, I can't stand waiting in line for an hour and a half or more. One of my friends insisted on this one night, and while eventually getting in was great, and the night was a blast, fighting the crowd at Pure hoping the bouncer picked us next for 2 hours wasn't.

If you don't want to spend crazy $$$, I suggest either going on a non-Friday/Saturday night, or going to one of the less popular clubs, like RA. Less line, and even if there is one, something like $20 extra a head should do it.

Oh, and if the place you are staying has one of the tougher clubs to get in, guest services should help you at least a little. Stayed at the Mirage last time and got into Jet on a Staturday in about half an hour with standard cover.

yeah, that's pretty much the impression I get.

Thus the 'showing up early' strategy to at least try to minimize the line time because options 2, 4 and 5 are definitely out for me...and option 3 is not something I'm comfortable with on my budget.

6) Pay ten grand to Antonio Esfandiari.

It will guarantee you access to PURE clubs, but possibly not Light group of TAO. Antonio has a known relationship with Light Group.

I was in Vegas last weekend for a bachelor party and we did the promoter thing. Expensive as hell but it generally was a good time.

We did Tao (at the Venetian) last Thursday. It's a bit different from the Tao here in NYC in that it's a full-on dance club. It was uncomfortably crowded but it had the highest concentration of beautiful women I've ever seen. I'm not exaggerating. It was truly remarkable. I particularly liked the girls they had on couches caresessing each other in their underwear as, y'know.. a decoration.

Friday night we did Tryst at the Wynn. It was pretty great. We had a huge table off to the side outdoors so it wasn't terribly loud but still was close to the action on the dancefloor. The pool and huge waterfall are interesting and it generally had agood vibe. And although it was packed it just seemed a bit more manageable than Tao in terms of dancing and getting to the bathroom and what not.

Not bad at all. Better than I thought it was going to be, in fact.

They are at any casinos bar. They wear too much makeup and start conversations with fat bald men who are over 40.

Hi,

I got some interesting info from jackcolton.com (no, I have no affiliation), namely that there is someone to contact directly at each club who can get you a table. Also, you need to make sure you have the table reserved for the whole night or they'll try to hustle you to buy more bottles.

I tried this with my fiancee and a lot of places were 2 bottle minimum ($500-600), and she doesn't even drink. I think you need at least 4 people in your group to make this worth it.

Beat: My friend got drugged and robbed at Drai's afterhours. Luckily he left most of his roll back at the hotel, but they took his debit card and ran up like $7k. It took months to get the money back from the bank. I found him back at the room lying on the ground drooling but with his roll still in the dresser drawer.

Good luck,
Ethan

Thanks for the input so far gents. Early is not an option because she is competing in a horse show until about 10:00. We were looking to head out between 11:00-12:00, which is probably the worst time possible.

Ideally looking for one of the "hotter" clubs she reads about in the magazines....Pure, Tao, etc...

If we were to walk right up to the doorman, what would the standard tip be for the two of us? She's a tall skinny hot blonde...a 10 to me, probably a 9 to the rest of you, if that makes a difference. I'm 25 and she's 22.
