Mini Forum Project

I've been experimenting with Internet Marketing for a while now. I've had some successes and some failures but I've learned a lot from what I've done. One of the most annoying things I've encountered is how closely everyone guards their sites. It has often made me question whether people are actually doing what they claim or if they are just trying to make a quick buck selling you their 'technique' that they've never even tested themselves.

Following this thought I figured it might be interesting to throw open the doors on an affiliate marketing site that I'm working on. I'll go through everything I do, post up all the content on here (where its my copyright obviously), discuss and implement everything I can from the results.

I won't post any links yet incase there isn't much interest but I can tell you it's not in the Internet Marketing niche it's in a completely unrelated niche. So in theory the only benefit I derive from this is getting lots of good suggestions from the membership here.

Anyone interested?

PS: It'd also be good if I can get moderator (dis)approval of my linking the squeeze page I'm starting this with, thanks.

I would check it out. I've always wanted to see one of these "successful" sites.

I make absolutely no guarantee that it'll be successful. The best I can offer is the process involved.

I'd love to see it, and I'd be happy to help if I can.

Glad to see there's some interest. If there moderator approval for this I'll post the squeeze page link up so you can check it out.

I'm not entirely clear on what sort of page you're talking about. First you say you were experimenting with internet marketing but then say this isn't internet marketing.

PM me the link and I'll be able to make a much more informed decision.

I've pm'd the info to Evan but just to clear up for anyone else. It's an IM project (ie using Internet Marketing techniques to attempt to sell something, in this case info products) but the target market isn't other Internet Marketers.

OK. Evan has given my permission to start this off so I'll post the squeeze page link up now for people to check out and comment on then later today I'm going to talk about setting up an auto-responder and writing content for it.

Until this evening - www.GetFreeParentingBooks.com

Background reading - www.15kchallenge.com/blog and www.aweber.com (I'm not affiliated with Dan Raine's 15k challenge in anyway, I am affiliated with Aweber but that's a plain old link, no aff code).

Edit (Nit): "After all" is two words (second paragraph in letter).

First topic for discussion tonight will be setting up an auto-responder. The subscription form for that will replace the current one anyway. Thanks for pointing it out though.

I read an article on sales letters, which probably relates to more get-rich type products, but it having some typos or grammar errors is actually good because it makes you seem like a real-person, and not some slick marketing campaign. (Wow, if someone who doesn't even know that After all is two words can do __________, surely I can!)
