Preflop discussion, Mayor invited.

Super juicy 20/40 live game

UTG raises, UTG+1 3-bets, 3 players cold call, the SB calls 2.5, UTG calls, and you have 7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] in the BB.

On you.

Call. Is this really even close?

Re: Preflop discussion, Mayor invited.

I would fold 1/3 of the time and call the other 2/3 given reads and table conditions.

will UTG cap with many hands when if it gets back to him?

Does it matter? you've got 3 players who called three cold already, are they folding if it;s 1 more bets to them? You're getting 7 way action capped or not.

Re: Preflop discussion, Mayor invited.

if sb is passive and utg and utg + 1 are particularly aggressive i think i really like a call here. if you hit well it gives you a lot of control on how to play the hand. betting into the raiser hoping for a raise if your hand is vulnerable something like 6 7 K flop or c/ring a large field with a monster.

EASY CALL IMO.

Re: Preflop discussion, Mayor invited.

Just call, capping will not get you the free card you desire later in the hand. Plus, if you go far in the hand you probably want as much action as you can find, deception is not necessary in a pot of this magnitude. Be sure to flop well.

Call. You're closing the action because UTG called out of turn. I think that makes a huge, huge difference.

In a pot this big, there's little difference between 3 bets or a cap. You're gambling or you're not. 6-1 on 3 bets or 4. Huge, huge?

I like to play big pots. Two or three ways is different. I'll gamble 7 ways with 76s from the BB for 3 bets or a cap. Same thing.

Very nice that you are the only one who picked up on this. Yes, big difference making the call much easier. I called.

Yeah, I cap here because if I win some nits will be talking about how good I run for the next week because of this hand.

Re: Preflop discussion, Mayor invited.

I am imagining that you were sitting to the right of the UTG because he was the aggressor and you could use him to jam/protect your hands, and also have the relative button at all times?

Play accordingly: call.

I would call 2/3 of the time and cap 1/3 of the time... never ever fold!!!

LOL. 3 bets is ok, but 1 extra SB if it could be capped changes things dramatically. Come on. Nit city.

what is the cutoff here? 96s, 52s, QTo?

Re: Preflop discussion, Mayor invited.

I would never ever consider calling here with those hands: certainly not with a RIO hand such as QTo.

52s is pushing it. QTo is a no no. 96s is debatable but a close call.

Calling 3 bets is eaiser, but it's not ok. Your doing it under protest?

Not sure why you love to always throw the pompous blowhard act my way Joe, but it's tired and off base.

I've played the fool more than once and admitted as such. You got your panties in a knot about a logical assumption I made. Wonder if you can see past your ego to see that.

Re: Preflop discussion, Mayor invited.

Call. Maybe cap, you are assured good odds on that as well, but there is no deception factor bc no one cares what you have anymore. You either flop something or put one extra BB in.

I need this to happen on line. (sigh)

Seriously, I have no idea are you talking about. I'm calling 2 bets out of the BB here. You been drinking again cause I think you may be off base.

Haven't drank in a while big guy. No big deal or AA or nothing. Just busy.

I mistakenly said 3 bets instead of 2. I got lost in the talk about how UTG calling out of turn makes things eaiser for us. Couldn't believe it.
