brag: rubik\'s cube

I'm not sure if this is impressive, but I think its cool in a geeky way.

2 weeks ago I got a rubik's cube. I always wanted to get one when I was a kid, but had since forgotten about them. I saw one in a toy store in Japan and had to grab one.

Anyhow, I solved it in a few days, with a significant amount of effort. After the first solve, it became much easier obviously.

So I've been messing with it since, and can now solve it in about 2mins.

But here's the brag:
I just solved it in under 4mins, while 12 tabling 1/2NL stars, without timing out once. (4/12 are fast tables)

ARE YOU IMPRESSED?

I mentioned this to some friends tonight at a party, and apparently, even being able to solve the rubik's cube is beyond impressive.

Ship the respek

Re: brag: rubik\'s cube

Yah, if you figured out all the algorithms and stuff on your own, then yeah I'm impressed. If you just memorized them off some website or learned them from friends (this is how I learned), then haha no, I'm not impressed.

But yeah, I'm guessing you mean you figured it out on your own... respect.

That is just sick.... I'm speechless.

(note: he wasn't 12tabling at the time )

I thought this was much more impressive...
Took a little more time, but he does it with only one hand

one handed

I solved the cube when it first came out (yeah - I am THAT old).
My record is 29 seconds.

VN though man. Took me much longer than you before i was able. nh sir.

Re: brag: rubik\'s cube

I saw some vid of a guy who solved them blindfolded really fast too. I'm sure googling will find it.

When I was little I just took the stickers off and put them all on the same side. That's how a balla solves a rubiks cube.

I always figured the people who can do it blindfolded are just starting with the solved cube, just messing it up a little, and then playing the video backwards.

srsly, his hand speed is good but he took like 3-4x as many moves as he needed to.

I kept going through the youtube vids, and damn, I should've looked at some of those before bragging about this. Haha...
But seriously, blindfolded? I get how he did it, but the memory required is mindblowing.

Re: brag: rubik\'s cube

verry impressive if u figured it out on your own with how many algorithms there are for it, there are simple patterns to follow that make it easy tho.
