Poker is now sport in Russia

On 03/16/2007 RosSport declared poker as sport. You can visit website of Russian Poker Federation at here (page in Russian). I hope it will be argument for your fight against UIGEA.

Nice to see a country actually consider the skill-based nature of the game and legalize it as sport. Now, if only our government understood how closely poker resembles sports like golf which are expensive and often involve gambling. If we had more of a separation of church and state like the European nations maybe I would be playing at party poker and not at Fully Rigged for Tilt.
