UB rakeback payment [censored] ridiculous wtf

ok, so i get rb from rakerebate.net

during feb, i paid over $6800 in rake, my rakeback according to their site and my ptdb, should be around $2000 at 30% rb. yesterday i got my payment, only $1200, i emailed rakerebate.net and this is what i get

Dear Customer,

The stats on our site are not final and do not take into account final monthly adjustments.

25% of the bonus you cleared was deducted from the MGR (Marginal Gross Rake).

Additionally, there has been a huge increase in the Payment Processor fees for US players due to law regulations in US. Thus UB
deducted 20% of Payment Processor fees from the Rake Back.

In your case $612,23 has been charged as a Payment Processor Fee.

If you have any more questions or comments please let us know.

Re: UB rakeback payment [censored] ridiculous wtf

My rakeback has been incorrect (ie. lower) the last 2 months from there as well.

No reasonable explanation since I had nothing that could be deducted, no deposits, no withdrawals and no bonuses.

I use them also. My payment has also been about half what it "should be." It was that way in January and for February. Rakeback is barely worth thinking about now. Is this the case for all affiliates with UB or just rakerebate.net? I would be curious to hear from people who use other people.

not sure what's going on, but my RB has been substantially lower the last couple of months and I missed out on a couple of the bonuses...i made a withdrawal, but I'm not sure/think that was a big factor in my RB drop...

I am a US player.
No bonus clearance, No deposits, no withdrawals, no money transfers of any kind.
I use rakerebate.net

My rakeback is lower than what it should be by my PT stats and lower than rakerebate's estimate on my member page. Are they deducting for the pts to cash promo?

i'd definitely say yes to the pts conversion thing. how much off is it by? as big as mine? 45%

i know there was another thread saying UB would start deducting for processing fees, but that article didn't say anything about deductions for the pts-for-cash promo (i think)...can an affiliate clear this up??...thx

I'm off by around 20-30% just eyeballing it. But my play at UB is rare enough that I don't track my rakeback too closely. There's no way it is the pts conversion promo. The numbers don't add up. There is no way, for instance, that you would be taken for 45% due to pts conversion with the amount of rakeback you have compared to mine. You are playing higher stakes than me, and percentage wise any pts to cash promo should hit you much softer than I.

I had read about UB deducting processing fees, but I assumed that applied to MGR reductions for cash in/out processing. I have no problem losing MGR for moving my own personal money around.

I received a second rakeback payment from Rakerebate today equaling ~15% of what I was originally paid. What is going on here?

Could some other affiliate PLEASE clarify which side is giving us the screwjob?

Re: UB rakeback payment [censored] ridiculous wtf

My rakeback was supposed to be about 1580 according to the website. Instead I got 1105. They deducted 475 in proccessing fees. Originally they had payed me abut 140 less, but I was persitent and it turned out that none should have been deducted for bonuses. In other words, it is my understanding that the points for cash promo does not count against your rakeback.

I believe I made some substantial withdrawls during February, but it doesn't seem right that no one knew about the extent to which this would hurt rakeback ahead of time.

[/ QUOTE ]Per UB, fees are for deposits only. Doesn't matter if you made a deposit or not. 20% deducted from everyones mgr. Doesn't matter if your mgr is $1 or $5000. Per UB The % is subject to change, depending on their costs.

yea, i just got the email from my affilate just now...can't believe it's ~20% hit to everyone regardless of whether or not they deposit...annoying to say the least...

I actually think this additional deduction from MGR for fees/whatever is pretty common for most affiliates and most sites.

They are not subtracting 10% of MGR and then calculating rakeback. UB is taking ~10% of MGR out of your rakeback *payment* for no reason other than they can and they must be in desperate financial straights.

UB is, in effect, penalizing US players 1/3 of their rakeback, whether we've caused them to incur any fees or not. Rakeback for US players at UB is actually ~20%, not the 30% advertised.

Rakeback at UB as most sane people would assume: .30(.9*MGR) or .30(MGR-fees)
Rakeback at UB as it actually is: .30(MGR) - .10(MGR) = .20(MGR)

Edit: Actually it appears it is even worse than this. My data is not exact, but by my math UB's rakeback could be calculated as .30(.90MGR) - .10(MGR). 17% rakeback. Lovely.

Re: UB rakeback payment [censored] ridiculous wtf

Thank you for the link. However, the info given there "20% reduction in MGR" is not what Rakerebate is stating. I was told that all US players are having 10% of their MGR subtracted from their rakeback payment. This matches with what I was paid by Rakerebate.

Huge difference there.
$1,000 MGR
-----------
Rakerebate: .30(1000) - .10(1000) = $200 (effectively 20% rakeback)
Affiliate from link above: .30(.80(1000)) = $240 (effectively 24% rakeback)

Somebody is just as confused as we are.

Is this just happening to a couple affiliates? I mean, have all affiliates been effected by this? Who's affiliates have not?

Re: UB rakeback payment [censored] ridiculous wtf

To all RakeRebate.net users,

We've just received information from UB that they've made an error with our account. This resulted in some American users having deductions for processing fees up to 4x the amount they should have.

UB are currently working on sending us a corrected report, and once we receive it we will pay out the remainder
of the rake back that was erroneously deducted. This should all be done until tomorrow.

We are very sorry for this inconvenience and hope you still trust us in always striving for the best to our players.
