Did Anyone Notice This Last Night?
 

I'm sorry if this has been discussed but I don't have time to read all of the Idol posts. Anyway, after Brandon finished singing they showed a camera shot of his family. The problem is that because there was very little lighting you couldn't see them. They then showed some caucasian actors from the show "Bones" and you could clearly see them. My wife and I had to rewind our TiVo but we both thought that this was very wrong. I'm surprised no one else has said anything about it.

I did not notice anything Brandon-related with the exception that he sucks.

Actually I just saw a screenshot on another site, and it looked like there was no one in the shot. It just says "Brandon's Family" at the bottom of the screen.

What exactly is your point? Racism? Why don't you worry about other things instead of making an issue out of something that ISN'T ONE.

I guess OP's point is that... it was racism? Maybe the producers were just biased against the families of contestants who suck. (Though to be fair I have a pretty clear image of what Sanjaya's mom looks like...)

A show that has its judges heap praise on 2 rather unattractive and umarketable oveweight black chicks is now racist?

I'm sure it was just an accident and am not anyone or anything of racism. I'm just surprised it wasn't noticed by anyone else considering how much the show is watched and dissected.

This post kind of makes me laugh. I think the OP is really looking for something that likely isn't there.

The reason that the cast of Bones is better lit and more prominent then anyone else shown is because they're there for a specific reason-- to promote a show.

The care in the presentation of the Bones cast is a much higher standard because they are there to promote another valuable property.

obv racism. they planned this for years this is just the first time anyone has noticed it. American Idol has been promoting the KKK for about 7 years now mostly in foreign countries. Randy is actually white and has a rare pigmentation diease and is the ring leader. Recently they had shown a clip of Simon in Africa and they were driving for donations. Those donations are all going to the KKK for new uniforms.
