Does anyone know how Stars handles SnG's that are (should be) played right now? I'm sitting in 2 of them, both of them pretty early.

SNGs when i got disconnected it gave everyone extra time and it was taking over 200 seconds to act for each player. SNGs should leave off where u got disconnected, maybe higher blinds

Heck, neither Stars nor me are located in the US. How could the DoJ possibly affect anything?

Problem is not everyone has been getting disconnected. In my tourney I was the only one who seemed to be having major problems. Seems like it isn't hitting everyone, just a few people.

If I was sitting at a NL100 cash table w/ all in, did everybody involved in the hand being played at the time of the connection problems be automatically all in?

I didn't get disconnected right away, but my connection slowed to a crawl about an hour ago. It finally disconnected me altogether about 10 minutes ago.

Yes prolly. I'm just pissed about being disconnected in the middle of two SnG's with promising opposition

I'm wondering this too, it's kinda late and I'm exhausted, but I am not giving up in my cheap drunk-o SNG on general principle unless I know it'll get refunded.

Pokerstars.com is seemingly down, but pokerstars.net still works. Maybe they could put a note on there saying why the whole goddamned world exploded all at once this morning.

Poker_Ace 03-14-2007 06:32 AM

Re: Connection problems with Stars

So, are we supposed to wait until the crash ends OR does Stars just end the SNGs as of the crash and divide the money somehow?

Re: Connection problems with Stars

It looks like there is a problem with our ISP in Kahnawake, which explains why other sites are affected too.

We're working on resolving the problem. If it lasts for a significant period of time, it's likely that tournaments will be rolled back according to our Tournaments Cancellation Policy:

www.pokerstars.com/poker/tournaments/rules

I will post further updates here as we have them. Please don't email support - we don't have access to the email system either.

This is interesting. Pokersitescout states that your servers are located on the Isle of Man.

If you trace PS ip with tracert dos command you see that server is based in canada

PokerSiteScout is useful, but inaccurate. Some of our servers (for the test site, for example, which is unaffected) are based in the Isle of Man. However most of the important ones are still in Canada.

So if you're in 18 SNGs, you're screwed I guess?
