Best Scrolling Shooters?
 

I was just playing RaidenX flash game and it brought me back too when i used too be addicted too the arcade side scrolling shooters.

RaidenX Flash

My favourites would be
-Raiden Series
-Ibara (Ps2)
-Gradius

I thought i was quiete the player until i saw this video...seems near impossible

Im really in the mood to play an oldschool one like Super earth defence force, what are your favourite side scrolling shooters?

One of the first SNES games I owned was Super R-Type. It's one of the better side-scrolling shooters I've played.

Great pics! The 2nd one from the top is R-Type, BTW... and the 4th from bottom! Maybe the 2nd one from top is something else

my personal favourites is shooting from the bottom of the screen rather then from the side.

anyone got some good ones i could get or download onto emulator with a huge range of weapons that are huge?

Ibara is awesome and I hope to tackle it soon. If you haven't, try MAME out and then you'll have hundreds of shooters to choose from.

Play Strikers 1945 on MAME. In my opinion the perfect shooter
