WSEX or Sportsbook.com?
 

Im debating between which site to put money on, mainly for sportsbetting. Im a relatively small stakes bettor, and ive had money on both sites before but it was along time ago. I know Wsex has rakeback and it seems like they offer more lines than sportsbook. How are both sites with cashouts? Which would you guys suggest? Thanks for your help

If you're in the U.S. it's kind of hard to get money on these sites.

Rakeback on WSEX has nothing to do with sports-betting. It has only to do with poker.
The lines they offer on the games at WSEX are pretty lousy.

Have some people been having trouble getting their money out of sportsbook? I haven't paid attention as I don't have an account there.

WSEX is one of the sites I would trust the very most regarding cash-outs.

No doubt.

Mathcbook.com isn't bad though.

Getting money on there is kind of a pain just like so many other places these days...but you can transfer your funds over from WSEX or Olympic for example if you happen to have money on those sites.

And I did say MAINLY for sportsbetting
Also Im looking right now and the lines are the same for the most part, but there are 2 games with a .5 differential

WSEX has a very good relationship with regard to the way they treat their players. Sportsbook.com not so much. Check out SportsbookReview.com for alot of good info on sportsbooks.

I cashed out within the last month at WSEX and received a check within a week so I can confirm their cashout process is pretty solid.

There is more variance involved with regard to slow pays and the potential for strange things like canceled futures bets (as happened during the sales to "shell" sites after UIGEA). I made the assumption that a casual bettor is more interested in security of funds than in maximizing profit.

In the years of business, they never have one payout stiff, is this enough reason? and they're rated A+ on SBR? is this enough? They have super customer service, is this enough?

The casual gambler doesn't shop the sites for half points; he sets up his account, and gets his money in there on the team he likes for the game on TV that night.

Didn't sportsbook change ownership (and regulating home country) recently? It may be that we're dealing with an essentially new entity - which could be either net negative or net positive, I don't know.

Sportsbook has great live chat support to help with any problem. Right now they are changing processors like many sites so cashouts are backed up and slow right now. But so far I like them for the poker and sports bets and helpful support. Just sucks cashouts are slow right now.

Clearly if you plan on making +EV bets it sportsbook.com and if you wanna lose your deposit it WSEX.

Incidentally, how much do you bet per game? How many books do you use? Are you aware of how much a half-point is worth for spreads/totals in NBA/NCAA/etc?

EDIT - I don't mean to come across as a condescending prick. My questions are genuine. Most casual bettors who are more interested in security than in profit will prefer WSEX. Most professional sports bettors would take Sportsbook over WSEX if given the choice of only one of the two sites.

Those sites consist of mostly losing players, why would you ask them?

Which two guys are [censored] (not sure exactly what word that is)? Thremp and I, because our opinion doesn't mesh with yours? Please explain why you disagree instead of calling us names and saying "wtf whatever". That is something a little kid would do.

I can't believe people are comparing WSEX to Sportsbook.com. The industry's in chaos mode. WSEX wins hands down for security of funds and likelyhood of payment. Who would you trust more?

Go with Matchbook. WSEX owns matchbook, so your funds are 100% safe, but at matchbook you'll be able to get better lines than at either WSEX or sportsbook.com. If you want to play no-rake poker at WSEX, I'm pretty sure (although not 100% positive) that you can transfer money from matchbook to WSEX. Sportsbook.com will have good dog lines on occasion, but on the whole you'll get better lines at matchbook, and you'll get them without the headache of wondering if you'll ever receive your cashouts, as sportsbook.com has had major problems with payouts lately.

EDIT: Also, 5dimes is a very good book too. They offer reduced juice on most sports, have a poker room, and are incredibly safe.

I personally prefer both sportsbook.com's poker and their sportsbook. Just one man's opinion though.

Thousand of customers are waiting for a payout from them for months, and on one has got one yet in months.

Homer and Thremp just lost all his credit for recommend a scam book to people.
