Good non-alcoholic drinks?

Sick of hot chocolate w/ whipped cream as my drink of choice, or virgin mary because I love the spicy tomato juice. I don't drink alcohol. Suggestions for something else to get as a break from the usual water?

Thanks, and apologies for not being a degenerate.

Coming from the northwest where not everything under the sun is available or free, I would guess however being in Vegas that it is all free so I would say something like a smoothie, or cranberry juice are my first choices.

Beer, its got only 5% alcohol.

I recommend this since you don't drink alcohol.

I'm with Solami - I like a Pina Colada without the alcohol.

Re: Good non-alcoholic drinks?

Virgin caeasar's are a lot better than vigin bloody mary's. This is a Canadian drink but they have them on the strip casinos due to all the tourists. I guess it might take some getting used to the clamato juice but it's a subtle difference.

I also think club soda and lime/lemon is pretty tasty and easier to drink since it's not sweet. Also unsweetened iced tea with lemon is great. They don't often have that in Canada but it's popular in California.

Re: Good non-alcoholic drinks?

Virgin Caesar, never heard that name...I infer that is bascially a bloody mary but made with Clamato.
I drink(almost daily) Clamato with a dash of horseradish and freshly ground pepper.
Clamato beats bloody mary mix by a mile, especially dressed up a bit.

Re: Good non-alcoholic drinks?

Try bitters and soda (water) with lime. The bitters does have some alcohol content, but there is only dash or two in the drink. It's as good medicinal drink with no sugar, plus it kinda looks like you have a cocktail.

Re: Good non-alcoholic drinks?

That's what I was looking for! Excellent ideas. Egg nog...mmmm. I'll definitely try the Caesar's. I like the virgin mary because it looks like a drink, which throws 'em off. Unless they hear me order it. lol

Thanks, all.

I don't drink alcohol when I play my normal game. I get cut off with water just fine.(actual story)

Though I haven't had one in the cardroom, I've become fond of smoothies.

I was in a restaurant bar when I saw someone at the bar with this really refreshing looking drink. Even though it was all pink, it looked damn good. So I told my roommate I was going to order one. He didn't believe me. So I called over the waiter and asked for that same drink. He asked if I wanted any alcohol in it and I said, 'nope.' My roommate rolled his eyes on that one in that 'god, you're a pussy.' kinda way. Even though I already had a scotch in front of me.

They brought it in this big fluted style glass with a bunch of whip cream on top and the biggest friggin' strawberry on the side of the glass. About the gayest looking drink you'd ever see.

But damn it was good.

My roommate just watched me enjoy it, shaking his head in disgust. haha

Not sure if my cardroom makes 'em.

Diet coke with lemon or coffee (if your place has decent [censored]). If you're at Bellagio, get an Espresso with a sugar stick.

i'm partial to the Shirley Temple (you can call it a Cherry 7-Up if you prefer, for metagame).

edit: PSA: be careful ordering lemonade. many places don't have actual lemonade, and will make you "lemonade" by combining sour mix with 7-Up. this concoction is as gross as it sounds.

I don't drink, so I've had to come up with a bunch of them over the years.

Ginger Ale with a splash of Angostura bitters (very good with a sprig of mint)
Aqua Libra (mineral water and elderflower cordial)
Tomato Juice with Tabasco and lime
Cranberry, lime and seltzer.
Coke and lime is pretty good in a pinch.

that is mind boggling. is this a west coast thing? nothing carbonated would ever pass for lemonade on the east coast.

Actually, it's an Australian thing. Their lemonade is a carbonated lemon soft drink, so they call Sprite and 7-up lemonade there.

Yes, I splurged for the $5 a glass that they charge. It was worth the price imho.
