Hand played by Annette_15 from the Sunday Million
Saw Anette play this pretty early in the Stars Million. I really thought it was interesting.
Big blind is t200, 9-handed. Annette: t5000 BB (unknown): t13000 Preflop: Annette is SB with two cards 7 folds, Annette completes, BB checks. The pot is now t400 Flop: K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Annette instabets t400, BB calls. The pot is now t1200. Turn: 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Annette checks, BB bets t800. Annette tanks for 20 seconds and raises all-in. The BB called, so I know what Annette had. What do you put her on though? |

Re: Hand played by Annette_15 from the Sunday Million
Forgot the h Bond?
I think this is probably some sort of massive combo draw as well, 4-flush+pair+gutshot or the like. Lots of options in there. |

[/ QUOTE ] Well yes, but if i had to pick one hand and one hand only i go JT. She could definately have any number of flush draws, draws, mid pairs, air, etc. But idk, JT seems reasonable here. |

Re: Hand played by Annette_15 from the Sunday Million
Why not a made hand like QT?
This line induces a call from every TP (two pairs) that puts her on a draw. BB already showed interest in the hand. What is the optimum way to extract value from a made but vulnerable hand with PF pot of 400 and 5000 more to get in. Bet the flop and simulate weakness on the turn. Ideally with QT, we want we want to put our money in on the turn while all the draws are still there. If she bets 1000 on the turn and BB calls, there will be still 4000 more to put in on the river that will be hard to achieve. |

Re: Hand played by Annette_15 from the Sunday Million
I'd say kq. She likes the flop but doesn't like getting called so quickly. She gets scared of getting raised on the turn so she checks, then she realizes she is probably ahead and decides to find out for sure. KQ i think.

My guess is small flush draw. |

Re: Hand played by Annette_15 from the Sunday Million
KcTh(Hero) v. Kh8h(BB)
makes sense. |
Re: Hand played by Annette_15 from the Sunday Million
well why would she check the turn and allow someone to check behind and hit a draw, doesnt make any sense, she must have a made hand or a drawing hand, a mediocre hand like JT can clearly be ruled out, idk why everyone is saying that

Re: Hand played by Annette_15 from the Sunday Million
nah than it would not be an interesting hand. i think aces somewhat fit the criteria here. its a good spot to limp and disguise the strength of your hand in a spot where you know you are not going to be playing a multiway pot.
also since stacks are ultra deep she probably has no intention of folding no matter what. so whether or not she had aces here its not a bad play to limp them in this spot. |

[/ QUOTE ] True, forgot to include "interesting hand" when trying to figure it out. Ever since i saw the AA guess, it seems the most logical. But only b/c OP chose to post this specific hand. In game, if I was villian, I'd prob put her on a KQ-KT type hand. so i'm prob only callin the push with a hand that is better or can correctly draw to beat KQ or KT(which means can't call unless ahead here i believe(which by rule of transitivity would mean i wouldn't call turn shove here unless i was ahead of AA as well(excluding AK)) |
Re: Hand played by Annette_15 from the Sunday Million
Annette had AK with the ace of hearts in this hand. I thought the line she took was pretty interesting.
Preflop I reckon she called, hoping BB would defend his blind my raising. Maybe she had a read indicating BB would do just that. And her stack size is perfect for a LRRAI. On the flop she bet for obvious reasons. On the turn, the check is something I personally think was a great play. Her line seems really weak when she limps, and bets the flop like she was just trying to take the pot. A lot of players will auto-stab when you do this, seeing it as great weakness. After she pushes, villain gets a pretty good price to put the rest of his stack in. |

I was the closest with KQ...do I win a prize?

Re: Hand played by Annette_15 from the Sunday Million
Grunch AK.
Edit: That was a legitimate grunch, but I know nobody will believe me so rigged. |
Re: Hand played by Annette_15 from the Sunday Million
Why would you want to limp/shove AK when you could raise/call instead? The rest of the line is fine.

What about aces? I would not like the play, but I think some people play this way with aces...
