Re: Value of FTP Points

They have negative value since they get deducted from your MGR reducing your rakeback.

Well, a 30gb iPod is 61,000 points, and costs maybe $250. So do do the math for you, each point is worth 2 megabytes.

at a rate of .5 cents per point spent, and only 27% of that is real money that you would get, and of course the goods carry no positive value. Moran.

Re: Value of FTP Points

250 for 1 30gb IPOD. 250 gets deducted from your MGR. So you spend 67 (the lost rakeback) for the IPOD If it's something you would buy anyway, it's a sick deal. Don't just spend them for the sake of spending though.

so here's a dumb question... I set up my FTP account without using a rakeback affiliate. Is it too late?

I'm afraid so. You have to set up the account with a rakeback provider.

Why would anyone (who has rakeback) use FTP points?

I set up my Doyle's room account and then later emailed them to add an affiliate, not the same with FTP?

Um how about for every $2 you send me, I will send you back one. Do you see why?

Garmin Stree Pilot

Same item on Amazon.com = $255.63

30Gig Ipod
61,000 * .005 = $305 lost in RB

Same item on amazon.com = $237.49
http://www.amazon.com/Apple-iPod-video-B...p;s=electronics

Sony Handycam
100,000 points * .005 = $500 lost in RB

Same item on amazon.com = $379.99

Panasonic 42' Plasama TV
300,000 points * .005 = $1500 lost in RB

Same item on amazon.com = $1,349.98

Hows my math?

Also, isn't cash in hand better than a non-returnable item?

All wrong. You didn't factor in that we only get 27% rakeback, not 100%.

Does this matter? For every 1 full tilt point I spend, $.005 is deducted from the amount of RB I receive (regardless of the % im getting). So if I spend 200 FTPoints, I get $1 less than what I would normally get at the end of the month.

Maybe I am misunderstanding how the system works, but im almsost positive this is how it was explained to me.

Re: Value of FTP Points

i'm pretty sure that deduction is from your MGR, a percentage of which you get back in the form of RB; so if you spend 200 points you get (rb%)*$1.00 less then you normally would.

Your math is real dumb. multiply each of those numbers that you got by 0.27 to get the actual value of rakeback (cash that you end up getting, not MGR) lost by purchasing the items.
