\"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (week of 2/19 Thur. 5-10 NL)
 

After over two weeks of being preempted for other events, LATB makes its return to its normally scheduled broadcasting. Hopefully these "special" events away from the Bike will go away for the near future, as 4 days of programming over 2 weeks (and the numerous problems that happened) didn't really seem to be worth it. For those interested in the Hoopology event, that'll be in the archives sometime Tuesday AM.

Monday's game is 5-5 NL, $300-500 buyin, with Nichoel Pepe joining Bart for tonight's festivities.

The sound is really messed up, with the background sound overwhelming the commentary.

I still have access until the end of the month.

Months ago I was corresponding with the LATB producer about the sound. At their request, I sent LATB instructions on how to set up the limiter so you could hear both the announcers and the table. The producer thanked me. A few weeks later nothing had changed. I wrote and asked what was up. She said they didn't have enough cables.

I just tuned in tonight. I think maybe they have made an attempt.

Fact is, the sound is never going to be real good as long as they have the show in a noisy casino and do not mic the individual players.

My beef with the show - and this is just a personal preference - is that there is several times as much analysis from the commentators as I would prefer. The focus of the show is not the game. The "star of the show" is the announcers' evolving concept of the game. I was trying to be okay with that when last week happened.

Bart seems like a good guy. I wish him success.

The heads up championship was worth the shot. They butchered it, but had they pulled it off, it would have been worth the effort. If they are still around next year I would like to see them try it again. Hoopology held no interest for me and I don't think it appeals to their core audience. I will stick with LATB till they pull the plug, because for 15 bucks, 1 really good show a week is worth it. I am not a fan of these small games and rarely watch them, but understand they can only show what they can spread. Bart still does a great job but would love to see Dave come back. Hav and any of the other big game players would be better than the current co-hosts. If they put the camera on Nichole between each hand she would be acceptable also. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] It is still my favorite poker broadcast, but they could do so much better.

Tuesday and Wednesday's shows will be dedicated to a 12 player NL HU tournament, hopefully with some LATB regulars. For some reason, I'm not sure those left watching the show he happy about this turn of events.

i can't understand why they would put on another tournament. It seemed to me that the overwhelming consensus was that the viewers were sick of tournaments and wanted to see the cash games they signed up for.

Funny, at one time the 5-5 restricted was the staple of the show with 5-10 unrestricted being the big game, people would grin and bear the 30-60 limit and 200 restricted.

i can fully understand them trying to mix things up a little. as for the 300-500 game, im fine with that. its the game that most of the players i know play. it doesnt have the SUPER players, such as avo, and it doesnt have the rich action players like ED. it gives a glimpse into a game that any of us can be found sitting in on. but of course, i still like the big action.

what i really wanna know is... WHERE IS TUCHMAN? i understand that hes no longer with the show. why? i dont know. but bart said he would be making appearances here and there, which he has not. he is obviously still friends with the douche, so they arent on bad terms. why doesnt he at least drag his sorry ass down to the bike, and play on the show? we've all been listening to his "wisdom" for the past year or so, time to put your money where your mouth is sir.

No the feed isn't up and under Latest news there is absolutely no update. However if you take a look at the top left corner of your screen on the L @ TB page and also the address window you will notice that the program is now known as Poker Netcast. New name same f-ing BS no respect for their paying membership.
