JJ possibly missing river value?

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

SB ($130.20)
BB ($120.05)
UTG ($32.25)
MP ($12.05)
Hero ($143.05)

Preflop: Hero is Button with J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.50.
UTG calls $1, MP calls $1, Hero raises to $6, 1 fold, BB raises to $19, UTG folds, MP folds, Hero calls $14.

Flop: ($42.50) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB bets $26, Hero calls $26.

Turn: ($94.50) 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks.

River: ($94.50) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks.

Final Pot: $94.50

Villain pretty tight - around 19/13. Pf, always a call with position or can we muck it? How does turn and river look? I don't think he calls river bet with anything I beat tbh, easy chek behind?

thre needs to be more betting here...If your afraid of a villian c/r on the turn then fine..but not betting the river is bad

I dont think there is much you can get value from here. Checking is fine I think.

i would never bet the river vs this villain. I used to every time, then i got tired of being shown QQ-KK an breaking stuff.

Hands like mid pocket pairs will call a decent value bet, ak will make this call a lot thinking maybe you floated or flopped a draw that missed...there are enough hands that can call to make this +ev over just checking...most villians arent going to check the turn and river with an overpair or 2pair+

This is played perfect. Betting the river is awful.

I think I'm checking behind here too.

Re: JJ possibly missing river value?

Preflop call with position is fine. I doubt you will get called by worse hands enough on the river making a bet +EV.

Re: JJ possibly missing river value?

I think pf is a fold tbh vs a lot of 100NL players...

Re: JJ possibly missing river value?

It's close IMO and I'm leaning towards fold

Re: JJ possibly missing river value?

I'm not saying I call a reraise 100% of the time with JJ, but this seems like a pretty good spot for BB to squeeze since raising limpers on the button with a wide range is all the style these days. If you think this is a fold pf, what was your reasoning for calling pf this time?

Re: JJ possibly missing river value?

i think this is played well. against some a river bet here is a bluff and you have no need to bluff and no hope of folding out a better overpair

i dont play 100nl, but hand seems fine to me.

Re: JJ possibly missing river value?

bet small on river to induce a bluff c/r from ak then snapcall cuz you're a baller?

barring that, easy check

Im sure you bitched about me calling JJ preflop w/o 15:1 once, Dam fish!

bet $2 on river, you lost a whole £1 here.

Re: JJ possibly missing river value?

No riv value missed. No worse hand calls you here. Almost nobody reraises preflop with 77, or 99. Check it down, I think you're ahead b/c villain prob has AQ or AK.
