200 NL- Out of Position

No reads except that Villain is 18/14 over 1700 hands. I feel like this is a fold or push situation, but I'm not really sure. What do you guys do?

don't reraise this preflop against this villian. Flat. As played, check flop and call probably. Maybe c/f turn. As REALLY played, easy easy fold

ez fold

is it standard to 3bet preflop in this spot?

I'm not sure about this either. I've been playing full ring for the last 4 years, and this was my first shot at the 6-max. This is a pretty standard call in full ring against an utg raiser, but I thought 10 10 were likely ahead of his range here.

What if you have QQ/KK/AA instead of TT here? Is a push correct given the draws on the flop, or do you still fold?

kk and aa is an insta call. qq is close. An 18/14 range is pretty limited utg. He folds out worse and calls with better with the rr.

carrotsnake, you're really just calling this out of the blinds v an 18/14 UTG raise? And as played you're c/c-ing? I can see that logic, at least.

AA and KK are not being folded on the flop. I would probably call the flop raise and CRAI a safe turn.

QQ i would probably call the flop and then see what he does on the turn. If he continues to bet hard then i would probably release. I think its fairly standard for a vanilla TAG to "slowplay" AA and KK preflop and then play it out like this.

this depends how positionally aware the villain is, and what hero's image is. Theres certainly nothing wrong with it.

Re: 200 NL- Out of Position

Against that guy u should just flat call preflop and hope for set

to be honest with u, i only play short tables and i 3-bet more than enyone else

Re: 200 NL- Out of Position

problem with 3-betting marginal-hands out of position is, that u allways have problems @ postflop. specially after villain calls your cbet.

Ofcourse u cant only 3-bet monsters oop, thats too obvious. u have to mix it up sometimes, but like i said thats not solid 3-bet oop against that player.

3betting this pf sucks.
