Not much to brag about, played 4 of the big money tournies today and bubbled one and got squashed in all the rest, then win a seat using FPP's that will end up costing me a fortune in airfare and expenses.

But I'm psyched to see that part of the world.

monte carlo is by far my favourite place on earth (out of the places i've been) The scenery is sick and everyone who lives there is so ballin. They repave the streets like every year and its ridiculously clean. The F1 cars race the streets there and u can see the red and white stripe things that they have on turns (u kno what i'm talkin about) sick cliffs and huge yachts ferraris parked outside the casino......have fun guys because once again my [censored] edgumacation gets in the way of my fun

Share a limo?
 

Hi All,

I'm arriving at Nice airport at around 5:45PM on March 27.
If anyone else is arriving around that time, I would like to
share the cost of a limo.

By the way, for those of you who have never done this before,
the helicopter ride is vastly overated. Its not really 5 minutes, since
it takes you from Nice to the heliport in MonteCarlo. Then you switch
to a van for transportation to the hotel.

Believe me, a limo from the airport directly to the hotel is far more comfortable,
and less hassel.

Lets share a limo though....I'm too cheap to pay for a whole stretch limo
for myself!

Well, sorry to disappoint you, but that just ain't gonna happen! If you take
the chopper, you will arrive at the front door of the hotel in a 12 seat Ford
minivan with 11 other shleps!

Now how about sharing a limo with me and arrive at the hotel in style?

Last year the helicopter ride was paid for by Stars and it was pretty cool. I think it's 110 Euro or so and a taxi is around 80 Euro. The helicopter also takes like 5 minutes while the cab was around 30-45 I think. The best thing to do, if noone is paying for you, is to take the train for about 2 Euro. Not very baller but ya know, a penny saved.

Don't you think its a little bit misleading to say that the chopper ride is
only 5 minutes?

First you have to walk to the heliport area of the airport terminal - 5 minutes
Check your bags and wait until all the customers arrive and the chopper fills up - 12 minutes
chopper flight - 5 minutes
transfer to a van at the heliport in monte carlo - 5 minutes
drop everyone else off at the Hermitage and Hotel de Paris before
they drop you off at Monte Carlo Beach Resort - 10 minutes.........

The total time door to door is about the same, and the limo is
vastly more comfortable.

Now the train sounds like an interesting possibility. Is there a stop right
at the Nice airport?

OK, the time was misleading for the helicopter but still, you get to ride in a helicopter over the Mediterranean and descending on Monte Carlo is cool even if it isn't right on the roof of the casino or whatever. Anyway...

I don't know when I'm getting in. I'm going to be flying in from Germany and I'll probably use on of the low cost airlines that will put me in Marseille or something then catch the train from there. Unfortunately you need to take a bus from the airport to the Nice train station. I didn't do it but my mom and my friend Justin did and they both said it was really easy. I can get more info for you and shoot a PM in a few days.

OK. I agree with you here. If you have never been in a helicopter before,
then its probably worth the thrill.
