FTP Check Withdrawal Update
So I submitted a withdrawal by check on 1/25, and I just got the following email from Full Tilt today:
[ QUOTE ] Dear Michael, We are writing to update you on the status of your recent withdrawal request from our site. We processed your request for a check on 28-Jan-07 but, unfortunately, circumstances beyond our control are delaying our ability to deliver your check in a timely manner. We apologize for this delay and any inconvenience you may be experiencing as a result of this issue. Be assured however, that we are working to resolve this situation as quickly as possible and will deliver your funds to you at the earliest possible time. As our way of apologizing for this delay, we have credited your account with a $26 tournament token that you may use to enter any of our $24 + $2 tournaments, including our daily Guarantee events. Because we also believe that you should have full access to all of your funds, we are offering you the option of stopping your check request and placing your money back into your Full Tilt Poker account for withdrawal through another method, such as our new payment processor MyWebATM. If you do not already have a MyWebATM account, you can quickly create one by visiting http://www.MyWebATM.com and filling out a short application form. Once created, you will be able to quickly transfer funds to and from your MyWebATM account from both your personal bank account and your Full Tilt Poker account. Please let us know if you would like to cancel your check request while you set up a new payment processor account, or if you would like to us to proceed with your current withdrawal. Thank you again for your patience and good luck with your free tournament token. Sincerely, Full Tilt Poker [/ QUOTE ] |
Re: FTP Check Withdrawal Update
You can also withdrew via Epassport.

Re: FTP Check Withdrawal Update
[ QUOTE ]
You can also withdrew via Epassport. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah I just set up my account with Epassporte. I only requested by check because I heard of so many problems with Epassporte. Hopefully I can get my money soon as I'm on a trip 3/14 that I need it for. |
Re: FTP Check Withdrawal Update
They are in full stall mode if you ask me. Last time I checked it's not that hard to send checks quickly...unless you don't have funds to cover the check.

[/ QUOTE ] I agree it is full stall mode, but not because of the funds. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Full Tilt having problems with its check processing? I think Full Tilt is unable to print these checks and get them out right now. If they didn't have the funds, why would they be pushing alternate access channels? Wouldn't I also have a problem then cashing out via MyWebATM or ePassporte? While I am annoyed at the length of this process, I do appreciate the email update instead of keeping me in the dark. The $26 token thrown in there is a nice added touch too. |
Re: FTP Check Withdrawal Update
This is such [censored]. I have two 10k checks pending with FT. How can a site allow you to play if you can't cash out your money.
|
Re: FTP Check Withdrawal Update
I requested a check on FEB 13th, and I just got this same email as well...
it does suck, but I applaud them giving out free $26 tokens for the delay |
Re: FTP Check Withdrawal Update
Yea free $26 tokens for 70k in "play" money in my account. [censored] [censored].
|
Re: FTP Check Withdrawal Update
yea good2cu, i would agree that huge cashouts like that dont make the tokens worth much, if you cashing out 20k, then $26 is chump change
but i guess FT is at least doing "something" and not just saying "sorry please wait" |
Re: FTP Check Withdrawal Update
I suspect FT is delaying checks to encourage people to sign up for new deposit/withdraw methods

Re: FTP Check Withdrawal Update
Hmm I'm probaly overeacting. I suppose I get furstated easily with after what happened with neteller. I'm sure they will get a new check processor asap.

I have a Vegas trip on March 14, so I cashed out in January to get the money in time. Now I have to figure out how to get a few thousand dollars into my bank account within the next month. We still have 2 months to go...but I'm starting to get a little nervous. I really wish they'd just get their act together. |

well, I just created a mywebatm account, those fees are retarded...I miss the "free" neteller...oh wait, they just took your funds at the end [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

Re: FTP Check Withdrawal Update
I'd like to hear what Howard, Phil, Jen and/or any of the other's who either own, promote or endorse this site have to say. Their endorsement had a lot to do with my decision to sign up on FTP.
It takes over half a month to say we are having problems sending you YOUR money????? WTF??? I am going to do what I can to contact the FTP team and see what they can do? I would imagine if a big enough fire can be lit it may speed up the process. Their good names and reputaions generate a lot of $$ for them in promotions and advertising, if they are not concerned about this problem they should be. |
Re: FTP Check Withdrawal Update
Mywebatm charges fees?? I was trying to sign up after receiving the same email from FullTilt, but mywebatm had me confused with somebody else and I am waiting to hear from them. However if they are charging fees, forget it! Also you write "oh wait, they just took your funds at the end." Who took whose funds?

I didn't even get the token the email claims I should have. =\

Hmm I'm probaly overeacting. I suppose I get furstated easily with after what happened with neteller. I'm sure they will get a new check processor asap. [/ QUOTE ] Dude u are not overreacting at all. Full Tilt is super shady and Full Tilt Doug comes on and doesnt answer any real problems we have. The second they said it was gonna take 35 BUSINESS DAYS to process our checks I knew something was wrong. They lied to us to buy some time, which just makes them lose so much trust its ridiculous. Meanwhile PokerStars support is calling us personally on the phone to bankwire us money. Its sad to say, and I try not to spread negativity but Full Tilt seems to have proven that we cannot trust them with large amounts of money. THey are liars and angle shooters. |
Re: FTP Check Withdrawal Update
Yeah, I'm for sure worried about this situation as most of my online roll is there. Keeping my fingers crossed they don't shut down and run (worst case)...
Meanwhile, I'll give most of my business to stars and wsex until I can get decent money off FT w/out waiting 3 months and paying crazy fees for $600 cash a day... |
Re: FTP Check Withdrawal Update
How about an e-mail campaign to the "Full Tilt Team"?
|
Re: FTP Check Withdrawal Update
I just got this email from them when I inquired about an ETA...
----------------------------- Thank you for your response. Due to the current policies of our check processors we are unable to get your check to you in a timely manner. At this time, we do not have an ETA as to when we would be able to get your check delivered to you. We do apologize for this inconvenience. At this time we will leave your check request in process as we hope to have this situation rectified as soon as possible so that we can faster service our players who are cashing out by check. Thank you for your patience, and if there's anything else we can help you with, please let us know. Regards, Debbie Full Tilt Poker Support |
Re: FTP Check Withdrawal Update
[ QUOTE ]
How can a site allow you to play if you can't cash out your money. [/ QUOTE ] I think it's the least than can do. Of course, they're going to stay open, if there might be suckers putting new money in. Haven't you guys ever heard of stuff like Enron or the Great Depression? How bad of a beat would it be to win a million dollars with their tounament token? |
Re: FTP Check Withdrawal Update
Guys, this is completely unacceptable. We really need to do something and soon. We all saw what happened with the Neteller debacle, and I wouldn't be surprised if we never see that money again. It's looking like the same situation with Full Tilt Poker now.
Full Tilt has MILLIONS of our dollars and has virtually NO cashout method. I was one of the first (perhaps even THE FIRST) people to sign up for a mywebatm card. I even paid $25 for expedited delivery of my card 10 days ago, and I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED IT. As far as I know, NO ONE has cashed out using this service. Also, their 35 BUSINESS DAY BS check cashout time is obviously as such due to the fact they are UNABLE TO GIVE US OUR MONEY. Full Tilt is definitely trying to buy time. I can see the day now where Full Tilt "expresses its apologies" and says that it's not their fault that they will never be able to send us our money. SOMETHING MUST BE DONE. |
Re: FTP Check Withdrawal Update
[ QUOTE ]
Guys, this is completely unacceptable. [/ QUOTE ] I agree. I think it's ridiculous that the Full Tilt reps are perfectly willing/able to start zoo threads (FTP - Answers) for insignificant things like resizable tables, but we're unable to get ANY info as to how/when/why we can receive checks. I understand they want to receive as little attention as possible over these problems with withdrawl methods but in the meantime they're completely alienating myself and every other player who contributes significant rake to their site. PokerStars seems to be completely upfront with their customers and I don't think it's too much to ask for Full Tilt to act the same way. ___1___ |

For the record I know someone who got a check from FTP a week ago.

Re: FTP Check Withdrawal Update
same e-mail here over a 4k check i asked for jan-24
very annoying, as i don't have much faith in the other withdrawal methods, and i thought the check would work |
Re: FTP Check Withdrawal Update
I just wanted to address a few of your concerns.
You can be assured that Full Tilt Poker isn’t going anywhere. We are here for the long run and are working hard to resolve the current situation with our check processor. Your money is 100% safe with Full Tilt Poker. We understand how frustrating it can be to not have access to your funds, which is why we have given players the option of returning their money to their FTP accounts so they can choose another method of withdrawal if they wish. (Giving you more control over your funds instead of holding them despite the unexpected delays.) The delay players are encountering with their checks is in no way a ploy for us to push you towards different payment processors. We are merely providing these alternate methods to you as possible options to consider. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you guys. Unfortunately, the policy changes of our payment processors are outside of our control and we are doing our best to minimize the impact to our players. We have new processors close to launching and are working with our check processor to resolve the delays. Instead of keeping our players in the dark, we wanted to give you the option of withdrawing your funds via another method if you would like. Some players have since opted to wait for a check while others have successfully withdrawn via MyWebATM or ePassporte. We realize it’s not the best of circumstances, but we did want to give our players additional options given the unexpected delays. |
Re: FTP Check Withdrawal Update
FTPSean,
Do you guys know when Youteller will be launched? I assume they will be a processor for your site. Also, after your check processing situation is "resolved" will US players have an option for an expedited, trackable check withdrawl? |

Hi Sean,
Does Full Tilt carry cash reserves to guarantee all players balances are covered? Also can you give us exact reasons why checks are being delayed and why courier services like Fed-ex are not being offered? Thanks |

It's just that the machine they use to print the checks ran out of ink and they haven't been able to get to Ofiice Depot to pick-up some cartridges. |

Everyone agrees that for medium or high stakes players, none of your options are even close to acceptable. This being the case, our freedom to choose any option we want is worthless. Get us a way to get our money out soon, we dont need to hear anything else except that u have a way to get a good amount of money out very quickly whenever we want. |
Re: FTP Check Withdrawal Update
With all due respect FTP Sean, that sounds like the same run around we have received for almost a month now.
If you truly want to address our concerns, tell me when you will send us our check's, give us a date. One of the joys of poker is it is supposed to be a cash business. 30, 60, 90, days to pay your accounts makes for a lot of float that FTP is collecting, if they do in deed have the funds to cover what they owe the players. You go on to say you are in it for the long haul, how can you possibly think that people will continue to do business with a company who can't figure out how to write a check? |
