Re: 25NL KK vs a tightie
Call.
If I'm villian I think there's a decent chance you have very little and that the turn bet was you taking a single shot at the pot with a scary board and then giving up. He could have an A but you're getting something like 4-1 and that's plenty. A re-raise doesn't fold anything you're behind and probably doesn't get paid off by much that you're beating. I think you see a pocket pair or even a strong T here fairly often. |

How do people feel about checking the turn as well?

I think you have to call river. He might be betting with many hands you beat and odds are too good.

Re: 25NL KK vs a tightie
Bet the flop, would give you more information.
It is better to see two aces then one on the flop if you hold kings. Either way if your opponent holds an ace your down to two outs (trips kings vs pair aces or kings over aces vs trips aces) but now there is less change he has hit something. River is a call |
Re: 25NL KK vs a tightie
the only reason to bet this flop would be to stop villain bluffing you out of this, that's it. But since he's tight I can't see him doing it.
As for information, if villain bets reasonably big, that's all the info we need, he probably has an A. |

Read what ama and winalot wrote in this thread: LINK I think it covers this spot very well. [/ QUOTE ] You lead here becuase you're OOP. Against a villian with half a brain, if you check this I know right away that you have KK, QQ, or JJ. You're losing complete control of the pot by checking this. If you're in position no problem with a check since you're probably going to get marginal hands to call on the turn. OOP, though, you have to call down in a very uncomfortable spot. |
