How to smuggle booze? (on to cruise)
So I'm going to a student cruise this weekend. The thing is that they might search you and take your bottles away. I'm not sure what's the best way to smuggle these through. Do you guys know any advanced techniques?
And no, I won't be smuggling anything in my ass. Edit to clarify: There are bars and so on but I don't want to spend 300 euros to get drunk. Tax free shop will be opened the next morning so I won't even be able to buy cheap beer. I can't buy liquor from the shop because I'm under 20 ([censored] laws). |
Re: How to smuggle booze? (on to cruise)
get a girl to put it in between her legs.. i dont mean inside of her, so dont get any ideas, but just have them tape it up near their crotch. only works with a couple of flasks, i think

Re: How to smuggle booze? (on to cruise)
I dont know the difference between a student cruise and a regular one but I have gone on tons of cruises. They don't care if you bring water and soft drinks on so I usually bring 6 waters. 3 of them regular and the other 3 I dump out the water and put booze in. If you carry them on they will take a look and you might get caught. Put them in your luggage that you give the porter and there should be no problem.

Re: How to smuggle booze? (on to cruise)
Put whatever you want to drink into bottles that are either very thin (hip flask shaped) or plastic bottles that can be crushed around easily. Tie them to your calf. Wear slightly baggy trousers (though most will suffice). If they don't do a full body pat down you'll be alright. You won't be able to smuggle loads doing this.

Re: How to smuggle booze? (on to cruise)
Peppermint schnapps, vodka, green food coloring in mouthwash bottle (from Toy Soldiers).
Probably not too good, but it's still booze. |
Re: How to smuggle booze? (on to cruise)
Mouthwash bottle is easiest way to do it. Food coloring messes up your tounge/teeth slightly but its the best way to bring large amounts on. Finding mixers is a pain however.

Re: How to smuggle booze? (on to cruise)
from what i remember...as long as it isnt in an alcoholic bottle its not a big deal...put some vodka in water bottles and u should be fine. That what my brother did when we went

Over/under on number of posts before somebody makes a Samuel L Jackson "Booze on a Cruise" mspaint?

Re: How to smuggle booze? (on to cruise)
Are you talking about getting it on when you first board the ship or when you stop at a port?
If when first boarding, that's easy. Just pack the bottles in your suitcase (not carry-on) and use plastic bottles. They don't check that luggage. If at port, just do the water bottles with clear booze. Easy. |
Re: How to smuggle booze? (on to cruise)
All-
There will be luggage checks (probably not everyone) when boarding the ship. I don't know if there are body checks though. Every uncorked bottle will be thrown away if found so vodka in a water-bottle won't work if it's uncorked. Obviously one could put a hole in a bottle with a needle and change the inside to booze. I will probably go with a bottle of 60% vodka taped to my leg or something like that. You can't bring ANY own alcohol to the trip so.. |

Where's this cruise?

Where's this cruise? [/ QUOTE ] Leaves at Saturday from Helsinki and will be turning at Sweden somewhere I assume . We will be back in Finland the next night. There will be a shtload of young people there. |
Re: How to smuggle booze? (on to cruise)
seems like it would be easier to just grease a porter or something, but then that decreases the cost efficiency of smuggling.

Re: How to smuggle booze? (on to cruise)
I've done this before. Vodka and orange food coloring. You can get the color to match exactly.

Finding mixers is a pain however. [/ QUOTE ] Every cruise I've ever been on had a 24-hour cafeteria with coke, oj, anything really, and all free. OP I bought pint sized bottles, took my shoes off and loosened the laces, then stuffed the pint bottles in there and put the shoes back on loosely. Also had a bottle tied to my crotch area. |

[/ QUOTE ] I did this and would advise against it. The mouthwash taste never leaves the bottle, even after rinsing it out 500 times before loading the liquor in. Water bottles + vodka is the best, just use an exacto to take off the plastic safety seal and light tape it back on. |
Re: How to smuggle booze? (on to cruise)
I took a carnival cruise earlier this year and had a water bottle filled with vodka, a water bottle filled with rum, and a snapple bottle filled with bourbon. No problems at all.

Some of you guys are acting like you're trying to smuggle a dirty bomb past Jack Bauer. Every cruise I've ever heard people go on they just transferred the booze to a separate container - often the large durable plastic kind you would find for camping at places like REI - and haven't had any issues. Besides, the tiny amounts that some of you keyboard commandos are recommending he sneak on are so small that it wouldn't be worth the trouble. |

Re: How to smuggle booze? (on to cruise)
If you're smuggling vodka, you can just use water bottles. Otherwise, any opaque shampoo/conditioner bottle is the way to go.
Don't listen to all this food coloring jazz. Talking to girls with green teeth isn't cool. |
Re: How to smuggle booze? (on to cruise)
in your stomach?
why not just get drunk before you get on? Then you'll only need to smuggle on a small bottle / flask |
Re: How to smuggle booze? (on to cruise)
i had a carnival cruise two years ago where i took a suitcase with two cases of beer onboard, had no problems. the suitcase had nothing else but the beer in it. my brother did this the year prior without any problems either. also, colorless liquors in water bottles works great.

Re: How to smuggle booze? (on to cruise)
On every cruise I've gone on I've smuggled booze by simply putting it into my luggage, they don't check the luggage that is given to the porters.

[/ QUOTE ] Take clear liquor, gin, vodka, etc. Empty out Evian bottles and replace the water with Liquor. Cruise ships never say anything to people who take bottled water, since many people have bad reactions to water in other countries. I have done it this way at least 5 times and never had anyone say a word. |
Re: How to smuggle booze? (on to cruise)
All-
Normally I could take anything to a cruise like this but this time it's not allowed because it's a [censored] high school cruise or some [censored]. OPENED water bottles don't work. It has to be uncorked bottle. Maybe I'll just put 2x 0.5l bottles of vodka in my pockets. If I'm searched [censored] it . I'm not sure about what the security measures are. They could be easy or the customs guys could check every piece of your luggage. |
Re: How to smuggle booze? (on to cruise)
Shampoo/conditioner bottles, empty the shampoo or whatever, clean the bottle good, fill it, then get some foil and stretch it to fit the top and glue it on.
Enjoy the cruise. |
Re: How to smuggle booze? (on to cruise)
I think this cruise is different.
"Every cruise I've been on..." That's why I asked where. The only cruises I've been on were to the Caribbean and the U.S. Virgin islands. This isn't for 7-nights. This is an overnight party-barge! Will you being staying in some sort of cabin? If so, disguising the booze in some sort of toiletry bottle in your luggage is probably the way to go. If it's the type of thing where one would not bring over-night bathroom stuff, hiding it on your person in narrow flasks and whatnot is probably the way to go. There are a few contraptions that are built to smuggle booze. One looks like a pair of binoculars. The other is called the "beer belly." You wear a bladder of some sort around your midsection and it looks like you have a big gut. You could check out some of those. Though you might not have time to order something like that. You might be able to make something, if you're really in need of the booze. You could wear an over-sized sweatshirt and tuck a bottle in your pants in the small of your back. Unless you're patted down, no one will notice. Make it a pull-over style. With a jacket style (open in the front) you could be asked to remove it. |

Is it really this hard not to go a few days without drinking?

Re: How to smuggle booze? (on to cruise)
I have always thought you could defeat the sealed water bottle requirement by drilling in through the bottom, funneling vodka into the bottle, then using a small dab of clear epoxy/plastic glue to seal it up. Never tried it though.

Re: How to smuggle booze? (on to cruise)
I was underage and went with three other people who were 21. We all got mouthwash bottles, filled them with liquor, used food coloring to disguise them, and packed them in our suitcase. All 3 of my of-age friends got to keep theirs, while mine got seized from my luggage and confiscated. So that trick failed.

Re: How to smuggle booze? (on to cruise)
When I went on a cruise to Hawaii I ran into the same problem. Used my bros ID because I was only 17 at the time and bought a six pack of water. Went into a bathroom and opened up 3 of the 6 bottle while they were still in the plastic 6 holder thingy. Once you are done filling half of them up push the seal back up so it atleast somewhat untampered.
When I entered back on to the boat it was almost like an airport. Luckily I got one of the people that didn't open up every beverage container and take a whiff of it. The man running the line right next to mine was doing this. |

[/ QUOTE ] yep. worked for us, in fact we were able to bring many bottles(tequila, jack, vodka) and didn't even bother switching them to water bottles and what not. Once it's in your room it should be fine, we would leave them on the table during the day and none of the many service people said anything, they have nothing to gain and want you to tip them well at the end. Good times. |

Along those lines In high school we used to get 32oz Poweraid bottles and empty all but a little out and fill it with vodka the little we didn't pout out was enough to color it and the teachers never caught us. So i guess if you uses the water bottle trick explained above and combine it with this one it could work. |
