1/2 6max : AA -- confused on the turn

Villain is 36/16.8/1.4 but otherwise mostly unknown. My image is pretty tight, and I didn't see him calling my reraise w/ KQ. My turn play is weak, but I was confused on what to do.

I don't understand why you're checking the turn if you're not auto check-raising all in.

Keep betting the board is pretty drawy and I want to get 3 streets of value most of the time.

Once you have checked, shove looks good.

What hands besides AQ are calling my shove that I beat? What about calling the turn and then donking the river?

Pick a combo of those below:

Pair
club draw
spade draw
straight draw

A lot of these hands will call on the turn but fold on the river if they don't improve. So shoving the turn is MUCH MUCH better than shoving river.

I have the A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] and A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. I didn't see him calling my raise w/ KQ so I ruled out a flush draw, also the same reason I don't see him having a straight draw. My thoughts were something like JJ, TT, etc. or a monster. No one likes calling and donking the river to get value out of a pocket pair?

The problem is that if you don't shove, almost half the deck will give you problems on the river because:

1) Lots of draws can beat you.
2) Lots of draws can scare villain.

Two flushdraws, a straightdraw, gutshots, everything is possible. And if the donk hits on the river you will have a hard time folding since the pot is so large compared to your stacksizes.

I expect the donk to throw away his hand lots of times after the turn shove, but this is better than making a small bet and facing a tough river. Yes, he might call you with a set, but the other times will make up for that. And ofc. he's a donk so he might also call you with a worse hand.

You played great until you forgot to bet turn. Luckily he bet so now you can raise him all in.
