DN watches Al Gore\'s movie and makes major life changes....
This post is a full scale repost from Dan's blog, which is a no-no.

Re: DN watches Al Gore\'s movie and makes major life changes....
DNs blog is great comedy. I'm not saying I don't agree with him and that we shouldn't take steps to protect our planet, but yeah its pretty funny that he watches this movie and then immediatly changes his life around and wants to sell both of his cars and do all these things. He reminds me of Alicia Silverstone in Clueless or something.

Re: DN watches Al Gore\'s movie and makes major life changes....
funny how science can take 120 years of recorded weather data and determine future negative effects on the Earth. You would think since in poker you need hundreds of thousands of hands to have a sample, but in 120 years out of millions is proof positive sample. The sky is falling science scare tactics have been proven to be false in so many instances. Simple truth is most college debate classes can either support of punch holes in almost anything. Watch Penn and Teller's "BS" on showtime. Especially one on recycling. Perfect example of science scare tactics backed by a reactionary government.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL don't do anything harsh there Daniel. [/ QUOTE ] Keep laughing. Al Gore is trying..and good for Daniel. There is a draft Al Gore for president grass roots effort. Might just be the right time to become political. Watch the movie,"An inconvenient truth" and then come back and lol. All fools do. This subject is worth being banned for, Vince Lepore |

Re: DN watches Al Gore\'s movie and makes major life changes....
I actually think Al Gore will emerge as the democratic nominee. Placed bet on it. I personally think the democrats can not win with Clinton. Too many just don't like her in the democratic party. Obama needs to be vice-president first. As sad as it is, I can't see him gettig past the color issue in certain states. Gore is hardcore in his beliefs. Not much different than Bush is that sense. They can not see the big picture, but play well in their parties. A Gore/Obama ticket would be solid. Even though Gore is a nut.

Re: DN watches Al Gore\'s movie and makes major life changes....
Science is wrong many times. Science is not always the truth. Science can not agree on this issue. Even if they did it wouldn't mean much. The Earth goes through cycles that are far larger than 100 years. Do a search on earth timeline. For huge amounts of time you need to break it down in millions of year piece. 100 years no pattern can be determined that has any value.

DN is becoming more of a nut job. Neverland is for sale. Maybe he and Tom Cruise can hook up and buy the place. Lots of closets for both of them.

Re: DN watches Al Gore\'s movie and makes major life changes....
Good for DN.
I've worked as an environmental activist for a number of years and one of the hardest things to do is to get people to change their individual behaviour. Plenty of people consider themselves 'environmentalists' but don't really walk the talk. They think that just preaching about it or writing checks makes them part of the solution - it doesn't. |

Re: DN watches Al Gore\'s movie and makes major life changes....
I find it amazing that the US Govt has managed to cast so much doubt over the impact we're having on the environment. I have the impression (possibly wrongly) that the majority of Americans believe there just isn't a problem.

Are you saying if I wrote a check to someone who knew what to do with it to help the environment I wouldn't be helping? Also, the thing someone said about college class debates. LOL I've never seen more [censored] being spouted than in one of those things. I have to leave them people are so retarded. |
Re: DN watches Al Gore\'s movie and makes major life changes....
Does anyone else find it funny that DN is a very religious Christian and a socialist?
Also switching to a hybrid or turning off your lights or stuff like that is so meaningless compared to industrial pollution. also QFT [ QUOTE ] DN = prime cult recruit material [/ QUOTE ] |
Re: DN watches Al Gore\'s movie and makes major life changes....

DN = prime cult recruit material [/ QUOTE ] QFT It's a movie released for profit. How Daniel can be immediately convinced by that speaks little of him. |
Re: DN watches Al Gore\'s movie and makes major life changes....
When did Daniel Negreanu become a socialist?
Now he's clearly a nutjob who is way too eager to believe things. And the earth has more than fifty years left. But I got a little new for the man...We're gonna die regardless. |
Re: DN watches Al Gore\'s movie and makes major life changes....
Al Gore will announce his running after winning an Oscar, you heard it here 10th. As for Daniel, delaying the rapture is clearly -EV.

Re: DN watches Al Gore\'s movie and makes major life changes....
25% of carbon emissions comes from Cars. Is that meaningless?
If you could increase your poker profits by 25% by removing your bad plays, would you say "Hey man, I'm fine with the other 75%" Sign on a church - "What is going on inside - if true, is extremely important". Same is true for climate change. Difference - there is no real evidence of the divine, and plenty of evidence on climate change. Those claiming otherwise consider the long term consequences to be born by our progeny to be better than them having to take the bus. |

The Dan and Al Nutcase show.

Re: DN watches Al Gore\'s movie and makes major life changes....
What is DN's status in the US? Is he a Canadian citizen who gets 6mo vacation visas and goes back for a week every 6mo and returns on a new 6mo visa? Does he have a greencard? You'd have a hard time telling from most of his political writing that he isn't a voting US citizen--he isn't, is he?

Re: DN watches Al Gore\'s movie and makes major life changes....
Why is it the U.S government's responsibility to fix the problem, shouldn't the whole world be helping? In the 70s they thought we were headed towards another ice age. I highly doubt that global warming will end life on the Earth within 50 years.

[/ QUOTE ] Americans do not care about global warming, they are too busy watching paris hilton on youtube. The US Govt. and the Oil Cartel have an incentive to dispute the global warming findings. They even tried to pay scientists to dispute the findings. While the rest of the world is working on shifting from the burning of fossil fuels to using nuclear power for mass energy, the USA is going to continue burning coal and consuming massive amounts of oil. |

I love NON US citizens commenting on our politics. Stay in canada and see how well you thrive.
You have a lot of worthless opinions Dan. Your approval of his propoganda film shows that you drink the Kool Aid of a party you can't even vote for. Stick to cards and get off your soapbox. |
