Solid 3 badugi against early pat

7-handed, newly formed 4/8 mix playing wild and loose. SB is a knowledgeable LAG. I'm OTB with A24x 3-card and put in the first raise, SB RR, I cap, and we are 4 handed to the first draw. SB pats, others draw 1-2, I don't improve but raise SB's bet. Standard or spew?

Spew. You know your gonna get 3-bet here.

Spew. Are you trying to get him to break? My guess is that he's badugi'd, and won't do it, unless you've played with him before and are pretty sure that he will.

I assume the 4/8 Badugi game in question was at the Wynn since it seems to be going almost every day now as part of the mix, the players in that game are far more savvy than you would expect so the level doesn't matter - but its still spew.

spew. he is breaking like never and as pretty as your hand looks even with the other 2 padding the pot, you are not getting enough return on your money to make it worth your while as you are still a big dog to improve over sb's likely badugi range here.

Do I have to now assume that 4/8 badugi means actual 4/8 and not 400/800? Bah, that means people are going to stop sucking at this game if it can be played for low stakes. Anyways, spewwww.

This was at GVR, but some of the same crew plays Wynn.

Yes, actual $4 and $8. But don't worry, we all suck: I was indeed drawing thin against his made ten, but he broke it and I won unimproved.

AJ sat in your game right? That was his made T that he broke right? He told me about it this evening. Surprised to see GVR spread this game.

Actually I think we could make great money in Vegas by playing blind and bluffing a lot. These guys loveeee to break.

We've got a regular game going there on Thursday nights. Badugi, O8, 2-7, and last week we added the 1/1 PLO. They also only allow 8 seats, and are taking $3 if full but only $2 if 7 or less.

Re: Solid 3 badugi against early pat

I was there. It wasnt Aj who broke his hand, it was another player, who is probably the best deuce player in the game. But he could have broke his hand in this game, considering he is out of position. But mr giles and mrs giles like to show down a lot of hands with paint in them, and because of this, I think the break was incorrect. (Granted, wtf do i know considering I had to get into the game $600 before I started winning...)
