Visa Netspend card

I use the visa netspend card to make deposits to pokerstars, very simple and instant though there is a small charge to load it. Haven't seen much mention of this among all the worried posts. It still works fine. Just thought I'd mention it to those looking to deposit.

How do you withdraw? Does Stars put the money back on your card?

No they won't do that, use paper check.

It looks like the trend there will be weird methods for depositing and cashouts will almost always be checks.

Re: Visa Netspend card

I bought a netspend card awhile ago. I was under the assumption that I would be able to put at least $1000 on it. The card arrives. I go to my local Von's to put money on it. $1000, limit exceeded. $750, limit exceeded. Apparently the max you can put on the card is $500. And I already have a VirtualVisa with $500. I bought the Netspend card with the sole purpose of being able to put more then $500 on it. Now I have a completely useless Netspend card.

Not Working?

I got my Netspend card and loaded it, but it didn't work for me at WildJack's Poker (Prima site). Anyone else have this problem? It looked like people before had no problem loading funds but it's not working for me at the moment.

Then contact the card provider and ask to have your limits raised. Can't hurt to ask.

Here is my Netspend trip report.

I was getting a money order for a friend when I walked into MoneyBox. I saw the brochure about the reloadable prepaid visa. This Visa allows you to stick with one card and add funds to it at any time. The fee is $9.95 to buy the card. I then had to register the card online. The website for the card is quite useful. Its very easy to track your funds.

You can basically pay $0 fee, and get charged $1 per credit transaction and $2 for any ATM withdraw. Or you can pay the $9.95 monthly pay, have no charges for credit transactions but still $2 atm fee.

Plus I notice something huge. You can do free transfers from Paypal to your card. Takes 3 days to post, but that is still an excellent feature.

I deposited instantly on Stars. I got the Vince Young endorsed card. They give you a temp card until your real card arrives in the mail. Current limit the website told me was $2,500 to deposit until you get the real card.

This thing is great.

Re: Visa Netspend card

that deposit limit is a lie. heres my story.

i went to Vons to buy a netspend card. i saw the card and read the packaging, it said that i can buy the card now which is a temporary card and load a max of $500 on it till my permanant card arrived in the mail. so instead of buying this temp card, i decided just to order the card from their website. the card arrived and i went to the same Vons to load it with money. i tried to load $1000 and it said limit exceeded, i then tried $750 and it said the same thing. so im assuming the max is $500 which is no good for me. so now im stuck with a useless card.

I had this same experience. Used netspend to load my Poker Stars account. I'm using the PayAsYouGo function. Can you post if you've had any other problems w/ this other than those previously mentioned in this thread?

One person called another a liar above, but this was- as it usually is- an over reaction, because:
Maximum and minimum loads may vary according to card type and location.- pulled from the netspend website.
not sure what my maximum/ minimums are yet/ I'll have to call to find out.
But, I've already used this card succesfully to load on PokerStars.

I just deposited with PS with my netspend card and it worked for me. Make sure you take into account the $1 fee they charge.

I got the silver all access netspend Visa card from CheckSmart. Somehow, there were no fees to get the card. I don't know about PS, but it works on FTP, at least as of the 12th.
