Pinnacle????????????

I don't bet sports much outside of baseball season and the NCAA hoops tourny. Last bet I made at Pinny was on a college BB game about a week ago (with no problems). But I wanted to take a little action on today's football playoff games.

When I tried to place the bets I got a message that based on my account my maximum bet limit is.01? I'm not the biggest bettor in the world but I do like action in excess of a penny. I have 4 figures in the account and no wagers pending. I sent an email but haven't heard back. Just wondering if anyone else experienced this weirdness?

I guess I should pay more attention I never woulda figured Pinnacle to pull the plug? I got the bets down at WSEX. I guess I'll need to shop around for some new books before baseball season. Any other big shops pull the plug too?

Neteller pulled out.

Re: Pinnacle????????????

You use Neteller?

MicroBob 01-21-2007 05:49 PM

Re: Pinnacle????????????

this was bound to happen.

yeah MrBaseball, you're a little late on this one.

Also, if you haven't heard, Neteller is not allowing U.S. transactions to online-gambling sites either.
People are scrambling.

If you had found out about the Pinnacle thing when it happened you could have cashed it out to neteller and deposited it somewhere else before neteller stopped allowing that.

But since neteller and several other of the online-wallets are no longer options in the U.S. I'm guessing you wil lhave to request a check in the mail to get your funds from Pinny.

Re: Pinnacle????????????

In other news: Did Pinnacle even send out an e-mail about this?
I think it was only announced at the top of their web-site.

They could have done a better job of notifying their customers who don't log-in every day to their site or forums like these.

Yikes! I guess the sky really is falling with that new bill? Netteller too! I guess I'm gonna try to get a few checks then. This is gonna make things inconvient. I just hope I get all my money back! I'd rather lose it than get gypped out of it

Re: Pinnacle????????????

They are both still trading in other countries. Neteller trade on the stock market and Pinnacle have stated that the USA was 'only' 60% of their business but they're happy with non-US growth.

Those two at least appear to be pretty safe.

Re: Pinnacle????????????

Yeah I used both Pinny and neteller because they felt very safe to me. Just requested a check from Pinny and I figure I'll get it. Didn't have anything in neteller so I guess I'll just pretend I never used it.

Re: Pinnacle????????????

just an FYI,
5dimes has been offering Pinny type lines on 'reduced' games
These are nationally televised games and whatnot. It seems they have increased these offerings since the US got booted by Pinny.

Otherwise, the exchanges have been the best prices for me more often than not. There are rumors that Mansion exchange isn't accepting US deposits or new US accounts however.

MicroBob 01-21-2007 06:19 PM

Re: Pinnacle????????????

Mansion exchange isn't accepting deposits. But evidently if you have funds there you can still bet.

So just don't bust out I guess??

MyTurn2Raise 01-21-2007 06:28 PM

Re: Pinnacle????????????

yeah...I no longer use Mansion exchange for arbing in case that side doesn't come through. I still use it for the best price if it has it. I wish I hadn't withdrawn from there about 6 days ago. Oh well

Do they accept transfers from outside US accounts into US accounts?

I just won a large futures bet on the Bears at Pinnacle. I
already cashed out my other funds there via neteller, but with that closed, how best to get my $$$ from Pinnacle to me?

Where are the previous threads on this issue? I'd like to know the success of people that tried to get their money after the netteller link was shut down.

Re: Pinnacle????????????

I had Pinny transfer several thousand (my balance) to Matchbook today. No fee. Just email Pinny asking if you can transfer to [whatever book you want] and they'll write back and let you know if they'll do it (the don't work with every book, apparently). Much quicker than getting a check in the mail, waiting for it to clear, and then figuring out how in the hell you're going to fund your new book(s).

beetman 01-22-2007 11:28 PM

Re: Pinnacle????????????

Me too, plus Cascade and Skybook. I have tiny balances at some other books but no more than "spare change" (i.e. less than 1% of bankroll.)

Re: Pinnacle????????????

Sorry if I'm doing this in the wrong place, but I this was the last place I saw info about this (sorry I don't read all the different forums for this).

I requested a cash out from pinnacle on 1/25 and just received my check today. I took it to the bank and I'll update this thread if anyone cares when it clears.

Are some of you back in Pinny or did you just put in withdraws within the last 1-2 weeks due to recently graded futures?
