I took the liberty of throwing up a private tourney on PokerStars for tomorrow night 21:40 EST.

Tourney 40796091 $5.50 PLO8 Jan 18 9:40 (Starts 10 minutes after the nightly $5.50 PLO8 donkament.)

If anybody shows up, I'll plan to throw this on the calendar as a regular Thursday night thing, perhaps alternating FL and PL. I hope this cheap buy-in will attract the lurkers and noobs (yours truly included).

As an ethics clarification, any after-the-fact hand analysis on this forum should not include any screen ids except for when self-identied.

I'm in for a good ole' fashioned donkament. $5.50 is alright. I would bump it to $10. The posters at the 1-table tourney forums have their weekly donkaments twice a night on Wednesdays for 10 bucks. We should have had the same for quite some time....can't wait.

I'm in. I was planning on finishing out of the money in the 9:30 tournament. I can adjust my schedule to do it at 9:40. It will cut into the time I allot for whining and self-doubt.

Mainly just a bump to keep this on the front page. What is the minimum # we need for it to go?

I FT'd the 5.50 PLO8 tournament last night, so staying awake for this one will be a challenge. Running on coffee and stress at the moment.

Conrats on that. I've mini-monied the $5.50, but never seem to find the right mix of agression and prudence to make it to the real money. Any advice for the post-bubble?

I'm up for short-handed if it comes to that. I always like to double-table the early levels of the $5.50 so that my head doesn't hurt from watching the truly horrendous plays that get paid off.

Thanks. When I get home, I'll post the hand I went out on. Villian rivered a better full house to scoop the pot. I'd feel worse, but I was being overagressive at that point. According to Two Dimes, it was 47-53 on the flop and 58-42 on the turn. I was in 3rd at the time (finished 7th), so I definitely could have picked a better time to move.

I think I was suffering from chip intoxication at that point. I'd been a tiny stack since the bubble and went into the final table with 12k chips. I'd worked it up to 78k and third place when I got carried away.

Oh well, it was fun and reminded me why I enjoy PLO8 more than PLO.

I'll be there tonight.

For future reference, I'm pretty sure using the '2+2' title in non-officially-sanctioned events in a no-no.

These are not Two Plus Two functions and our name should not be used in this manner. It's very important to us that this be enforced because of possible legal ramifications that we don't have any control over. So you need to remove our name from this event immediately,

It is okay for you to say "open to posters from Two Plus Two," but it is not okay to say "2+2 O8 Forum Invitational Tourney."

The title now says 'O8 Forum Invitational. The lobby reads 'Open to posters in the 2+2 O8 forum. This is not an offical 2+2 function.

I haven't played on Stars in over a year and I have 0 cash in my account. Epassporte is saying it needs to verify my bank account by having me tell them the amounts they deposited into my checking account, however, this can take up to 24 hours or so TCF Bank is telling me. The deposits have not hit yet. Anybody got any ideas on a faster method to get a deposit in there? I've got 3 hours. HELP!

yeah... not for me. i tried that first. for some reason TCF keeps declining the transfer. I'm actually on hold with them right now trying to find out why they're doing that.

Anybody wanna loan me $5.50 for up to 7 days or if I cash?? This sucks.

If anybody has a Full Tilt account, I can give you the money through there right now. PokerStars Support is telling me that "certain banks will not transfer to Epassporte" and that "a regular bank employee will not tell you that".

I dunno.

I'm screwed if nobody wants to help me out I think.

Haha, my apologies. Couldn't fold A68T to a reraise there with your stack. If it makes you feel better, I played like crap in the HU at the end. Do you play PLO8 at Stars at all? If not, you should, the games are pretty juicy in general.

No need to appologize, yo! Like you said, there's no folding to my raise. It was close to a coin flip preflop (53% to 47%) anyway. Post flop is where you needed some magic. You needed a non-club 7 or a non-club Q (5 outs) or runner runner craziness. Lol. What are the next two cards? Non-club 7 <font color="red"> </font> AND <font color="black"> </font> non-club Q. Lol. When you're hot you're HOT! Hehe.

I had a great time and I'm definately not going to lose any sleep over losing.

Do I play on Stars? Lol. Yes/No. I hadn't played there in about a year and couldn't get a transfer to go through in time to register. I had to beg somebody to float me the $ to enter. Thankfully a Two + Two'er took pitty on me and hooked a brotha up. Hopefully by the time we have another one of these all of my deposit problems will be solved. If not, I'm going to Canada and trying to open a bank account.

We had 15 players, so that's a success.

I'll put it up on Thursdays for PLO8 for the next month. Same time, same cheap-o price. I was dead money last night, so that's one more reason to join.

Any of you who're big on LO8 can set up one of your own, or leave a note here. I get too frustrated in limit tournaments.

i like just PLO8 (makes it so tourny doesnt last forever, but thats just my take). id do a turbo LO8 one, or turbo PLO8 for that matter. i like it...sounds like fun either way

Limit tourneys are very luck-based and, IMO, boring. That's comiong from a LO8 player, mind you. PLO8 is the way to go here, and PLO8 tourneys are the only way O8 is gonna be the 'game of the future'.

I'll try to play this sometime. But I hate stopping what I'm doing at night to play a poker tourney, and I'm thinking of cashing out the roll anyhow (new industry climate = scary).
