Best NFL catch of the year

In the Chad Johnson thread I referred to Marvin Harrison's TD against the Pats, he was well covered in the endzone and tipped the ball to himself while somehow keeping both feet in bounds, as the best catch of the year. Its highly subjective but could be fun, what was the best catch you saw in the NFL this year?

I thought the Harrison catch was the best catch of the year as well.

Bet let's save a little love for Donte Stallworth's one handed catch on the side line... which I can't find on youtube. Damnit.

Joe Horn had a similar catch going out of bounds where he tipped it to himself, it was against the Falcons in the 2nd game.

Marques Colston had a sick TD catch, it was thrown behind him and he rotated in mid air to catch the damned thing. That one was against the Giants I think, so everyone saw it.

Better version of Marv's catch.

Too bad he acted like such an ass after the play, which is too bad, because he's usually a stand-up guy.

Its absurd to say he acted like an ass. All he did was spike the ball. The fact that it happened to hit a player is just a freak bounce.

jericho cotchery's catch against the pats for a touchdown the first time the jets played the pats. that catch was absurd but i cant find a video right now though.

Amazing catch, and the spike in Vrabel's face made it even better (I'm just going to pretend he did that on purpose).

I totally agree - it's hilarious how he freaks out about it after

Cotchery's catch was pretty amazing. Marvin's was classic though. Tapping it to yourself, keep your feet in, then catch it? Damn. Cotchery's is a close second though.

This Torry Holt catch deserves consideration as well, though the vid quality isn't great.

Couldn't find it on YouTube, but Bo Scaife of the Titans made a spectacular one-handed diving TD reception early in the year. That gets my vote.

Agreed. This was a great, great, great catch. But Marvin wins this and it isn't close.

I love the Tory Holt catch but its basically the Marv catch without the tiptoeing.

I am. I was really surprised when he did that, though. I have nothing but respect for Marvin, despite him playing for my favorite team's rival. But you could just sense that his emotions were starting to get the better of him throughout the game.

Yeah I know you are K. When I see a pro-Colt's post, it's a countdown in my head til you or KB4Z come in, lol.

It's funny though, I agree with you partially. Marvin has spiked the ball maybe three times in his career, and two were against that Pats. He does seem to get extra pumped for those games, but what Colt or Pat doesn't. These are the two best teams in the NFL of the last 5 or so years, and in my opinion, their games are the best.

I agree his emotions were going on 11, but I still don't think he meant to hit the Pats player, just bad luck there.

Cody
