Full Tilt\'s reply/stance
Hello Jared,
Thank you for your email, and I greatly apologize for the delay in our response to you. We have already launched an exhaustive investigation into this matter and can confirm with you at this time that there was a recent $25,000 transfer made from player LucLongley to another player named Eddiefelsonn on our site. Upon close investigation it was revealed this player Eddiefelsonn lost a portion of the transfer money through legitimate table play on our site. We have also discovered through our chat records that player Eddifelsonn had successfully attempted to offer trades with other players on our site in attempt to dispose of the fraudulent funds in return for clean funds. For security purposes, I am afraid I cannot disclose the methods of which it was done. I can assure that those methods were, unfortunately, legitimate as well. I am terribly sorry that you have fallen victim to such fraud, but unfortunately the funds are no longer retrievable. I know this offers little consolation, but please be advised that we have taken action to permanently close this fraudulent account down and have also suspended your Neteller account from being used on our site. If you wish to consider other options to play on our site and/or to use your Neteller account again, please let us know and we will glad to assist you. If you have any questions, please let us know. Regards, Larry Cashier Security Manager Full Tilt Poker Support This really irks me. If anyone had responded in a timely manner my $ might have been saved. [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] |
Re: Full Tilt\'s reply/stance
that is a fkin bs email. Why do they queud transfers then??? They had your email before the money was transfered from Eddifelsonn to X player, right? So they should have had the time to check your email and block that transfer/account.
Also, they have to know the IP adress where that account was used and they should be able to help the authorities. FullTilt lacks credibility and they just proved it again. Have you hired an attorney yet? Anyway, good luck retrieving your money, and whoever stole your $$, please have a suffering death. |
Re: Full Tilt\'s reply/stance
Jared,
I have some information (real name, address) on "eddiefelson" that may help you. PM me. |

Skipolo,
I realize that I am a nobody here and on FTP, but I was going to send this email to FT support, given your approval. Perhaps others can do the same. To: Larry, Cashier Security Manager: In a recent series of posts on the 2+2 forums, fraudulent activities involving FTP have come to the poker community’s attention. In the face of stiff competition for our play, I am taking this time to encourage you to gain our trust by taking several actions. First, implement better security measures regarding fund transfers on your site. The ability to voluntarily block or limit such transfers would be helpful. Second, since your email system was apparently down at the time of this incident, I would like to see an emergency number to call in such situations. Finally, given that none of these simple recommendations were in place, it would be a show of good faith for FTP to refund the stolen money. Sincerely, Tom ---------------- |

The office in Aruba is at 62 L.G. Re: Full Tilt\'s reply/stance
Wow, there will certainly not be any FT-play for me after seeing this. I won't have any decent number of money on a site like that.

Re: Full Tilt\'s reply/stance
They closed that office in LA last year.

Re: Full Tilt\'s reply/stance
On a side note, I started a thread in the zoo about to discus what the sites should be doing to help combat this problem.

FT security saying they can't disclose anything to you is BS...from FT T&C:

Provider reserves the right to investigate complaints or reported violations of our Terms of Use and to take any action we deem appropriate including but not limited to reporting any suspected unlawful activity to law enforcement officials, regulators, or other third parties and disclosing any information necessary or appropriate to such persons or entities relating to user profiles, e-mail addresses, usage history, posted materials, IP addresses and traffic information. |

I'm a high volume player and had my account suspend for 2 weeks without a single email from there when it turned out that they were investigating someone else credit card fraud and i had nothing to do with it. I still continue to play there in hopes that they'll improve on this one day. |
Re: Full Tilt\'s reply/stance
Problem is that FTP is nearly powerless besides providing skip with info to help him out. Since the money stolen via PS and then transferred legitimately in FTP (stingers legit money). the FTP money is not actually money stolen through them.
although why were they not about to locate the 25,200 which was taken directly from your neteller since it is against the rules to deposit into a 2nd account using same neteller. thats extremely easy to track as well they should have frozen the account the moment it showed up as your neteller. even if not for fraud/larceny reasons just for multi accounting. |

The LucLongley that received the money is a regular and has been playing in all the big games this week. I would think some of the pros and other high stake guys would want to know what he was a part of this [censored]. Or is this a reason why they say they cant do anything because this guy has thousands in action everyday? Maybe he had no idea but maybe he knows the guys, theres gotta be more to it.

That's a really good idea. I hope the sites look into some sort of increased security for player transfers. [/ QUOTE ] One idea would be to send players list of codes or code-generator (like tokens in some internet banks) which should be used when transfer/cashout/deposit is done. I doubt they will do it because they will not be willing to cause additional troubles when moving money because it may discourage some players. I once asked Neteller to increase their security level and they replied that they wont and wont plan to do it because its already secure enough or some bs like that. I think it would be great idea to leave everything as it is as default but offer option of increasing security measures if player request it. |

punter, i think its a decent idea but most of the time it would be shared over im the codes. which could obviously be compromised as well.
dont really see how sites could enforce it besides having players call in from their designated phone number with the sites. highstakes players should prolly do that with each other already. god who even knows its just such a sick situation. |
Re: Full Tilt\'s reply/stance
How bout this fo an IQ boost why do people trade chips with people they have no idea who they are especially with the amount of scamming now adays these people help these crooks survive if they didnt what what would they do with their chips? Didnt know they were the same person big fning deal my bad. Ive seen these guys take 25000 in chips for only giving up 22000 ect. they dont give a [censored] where the money came from or who it was stolen from, im not saying Luc Stinger or whoever the [censored] her is did that im making a valid statement.

Re: Full Tilt\'s reply/stance
I had a funny exchange with Fulltilt this past week, I mistakenly sent a transfer to the wrong account as a typo, I immediately emailed fulltilt tech support less than a minute later and asked them to reverse the transfer.
I also stated they should add another layer of protection besides the players username since typos can and do occur. Something like having to type the players first name. Here is fulltilts response; Thank you for writing to Full Tilt Poker Support. While I understand that you have made a mistake in entering the recipient for your player transfer, please be aware that the responsibility is on the sender to ensure that all necessary information is entered correctly. That being said, we will contact the player on your behalf and request that they transfer the funds back to you. Please understand that if said player chooses not to comply to our request, they cannot be forced to return the funds and Full Tilt Poker cannot be held liable nor are we able to replace those funds. We thank you for your understanding and hope that the player chooses to comply with your request. Regards, Loreen Full Tilt Poker Support I found this to be quite comical |

Re: Full Tilt\'s reply/stance
yeah but these guys are looking for really fast money. can u imagine the time constraints on that? alot of people do these transfers because its easier/ faster than payment processors. i know that some places dont allow real big deposits from neteller or it takes extra long to cashout 50k, whatever the stipulations of some sites. people should just shy away from these p2p transfers unless its a well known friend i guess. whatever there really is not any way to protect against the situation that happened with stinger and skip. unless they knew each well enough before and could confirm it via phone.

Re: Full Tilt\'s reply/stance
I emailed Full Tilt again with a title : "Unacceptale Answers"
Dear Full Tilt, I request that you let me know who eddiefelsonn "lost" his funds to playing on your tables. The $25,000 was stolen and I want to know who that $ was "lost" to. It is entirely possible he was dumping $ to his other account or a friend's account. I have now sent 12 emails regarding this subject of me being scammed for $25,000. Of which I received a reply stating that he lost the $ legitamately. I would like to speak someone on the phone regarding this matter. I think your company owes that to me. Thanks, Jared This is after 2 emails I have sent them after their "reply/stance" which is posted in the beginning of this thread. Neither of those emails I sent were replied to. This is the 3rd. It is becoming very clear to me that Full Tilt does not care about their customers by the lack of support I am getting. |

lmao Did the player return the money? [/ QUOTE ] I believe its good policy of FTP here. The option of returning the money would be very bad becaue it would open a possibility scam in exchange deals. |
Re: Full Tilt\'s reply/stance
While FT is not specifically responsible for this, their inaction in responding to Skipolo's initial email, which allowed this thief more time to dump/trade out $$$, their overall slow customer service, (average email response time: 3days), their inability to police their own site, and their weak and dismissive response to all this is very likely going to be costing them ~4000 hands a day from me, pending Pokerstar's response.
It's amazing how little some companies will do for customer service. Most land-based american countries would give their left tit for an individual who gives them over 15k a month in business, ESPECIALLY if ~75%+ of that was pure profit. Their lack of good faith in this whole deal is going to cost them FAR more than 25k, from me alone is the next 1.5 months. |

Re: Full Tilt\'s reply/stance
Unless Rojo is treated better in some way I will never play on FTP. They need to be responsible for lack of contact for over 12 hours or however long they took while someone was stealing money.
Of course I play almost all on Pokerstars now because they seem to take fraud/theft/cheating and customer support a lot more seriously. |
