Isn't it supposed to be removed very shortly? There is still no suggestion that it is anything but business as usual on the website....

There was an email a while back saying the store was closing, but I can't remember what date and there has been no mention of it since. I'll try to dig up the email when I get home.

Okay, so what if the store is closing ... I didn't want any of the merchandise (and I don't have enough for anything cool). Did anyone explain what will happen to the remaining points after the store closure? Hold on to them? Lose them entirely?

(If I had received the email ... it is now lost when my main machine crashed.)

I am Canadian and I recieved the email. I have no idea why they are supposetly closing their store (for all countries?)

This will only scare off new fish and piss off regular customers. People will start to play at stars/fullT so they can generate points and get a free hat or something [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

If they did that, it'd have to be at a worse rate than the VIP promos, so it'd be fairly pointless for most of us. On that note, the current promo is pretty good actually - 4.5c per point, plus the milestones, I've got something like $400 just playing my regular amount, unlike the earlier promos...

FWIW I just emailed party on this subject, told them Im from Australia and got this standard response. I hope the "new information" is made available before the 16th

Dear XXXXXX,

We are refurbishing the Party Store. On 16th January 2007, we will be removing all of the merchandise that is currently in the Party Store. Items that go out of stock will be removed from the store. You can use your points now if you would like to purchase any of this existing merchandise until 16th January 2007.

Orders placed until 16th January 2007 will be processed as normal. We will continue to remove items that go out of stock Before 16th January 2007.

We will be introducing new items to the Party Store, including Cash for Points and Tournament Buy-ins. More information about the new look store will be available soon.

Please write to us if you have any other questions.

different party support people seem to be saying different stuff. i read a post from someone (don't remember where) who copied an email from a pp supprot people who said there would not be possible to redeem points for "cash money"

I am certain it said that because I distinctly remember thinking how moronic the phrase "cash money" was.

Here it is:

Dear xxx

We are refurbishing the Party Store. On 16th January 2007 we will be removing

There were two different emails sent out; one to US players and one to Non-US players. A summary of each:

US players: All merchandise will be removed from the store on the 16th, there will be nothing to redeem points for in the foreseeable future. We will look at possibly being able to offer things specific to US players down the road (points will not expire on the 16th).

Non-US players: All merchandise will be removed from the store on the 16th and replaced with new stuff, initially points for cash and some tournament entries. We will continue to add new items like gift certificates.
