where should we never travel to?
 

i've been to london, france, dusseldorf, thailand and hawaii. i would reccomend everyone give them all a shot if they had the chance, but some more than others. hawaii ( the big island, where i stayed ) had amazing beaches and scenery but was pretty boring outside of that. in thailand i enjoyed the beaches, the girls and the culture but it was outrageously hot and smelled pretty terrible in bangkok ( although pataya was really nice in general ).

is there anywhere you would advise everyone on this board to never travel to, based on your experiences?

The Delaware Coast and Maryland/Virginia Eastern Shores are quite nice, IMO. Check out what a beach place in Delaware costs ...

QFT at least some what. Going to the Falls (and the casino's near) isn't terrible there are far worse places. Like Clevland for example but you can always go find the DaveR I believe he is the only asian guy there.

I worked/lived in Kosovo for awhile - it's not really dangerous anymore but it's pretty boring and there seems to be trash everywhere.

One positive - the black market economy. You can form a complete wardrobe full of stolen/fake designer clothing for under $200.

Places to avoid due to war at this time - Sudan, Iraq, Afghanistan

other potentially dangerous areas: Turkmenistan (political turmoil expected due to death of dictator), Sri Lanka, Palestinian Territories, Chechnya, Kashmir region of India/Pakistan

I love living here, although I suppose some places are better for living and some better for visiting. Not that much tourist-y stuff to do here, but then again, I wouldn't want to raise a family in Vegas or LA.
