NETeller & Pstars both SUCK
I cashed out a bit today from Pstars and made a mistake by not noticing they were going to transfer the funds to my old, closed CAD NETeller account.
I contacted Pstars and they told me to contact NETeller myself to correct it. Terrible customer support, they should be taking care of this, not me. At first NETeller was very helpful and said they'd transfer it from the old, closed CAD account to my open USD account. Now I've logged into my open NETeller account and they credit is there but it's not for the full cashout amount. I contacted them and it turns out they've taken exchange fees on both the initial transfer and the transfer to my USD account! The CS rep said they couldn't help me. What a joke. I've emailed Pstars to have them make this right. If not I'm going to be spending more time elsewhere for sure. I will definitely also be using another payment processor as I now hate NETeller. Hopefully this can be a warning to others to avoid the total pain in the rear I've had to endure. |

Re: NETeller & Pstars both SUCK
So Stars did exactly what you told them to do, and then neteller double screws you, and you are mad at Stars because they won't pay up for your mistake and neteller's "service"?

Re: NETeller & Pstars both SUCK
Why did Neteller accept funds into your "old, closed" account?
|
Re: NETeller & Pstars both SUCK
Very little, but that doesn't matter. It's my money no matter how small or large.
No idea why NT accepted them into my old account. Not sure about everyone else, but when stars asked me to verify the account I didn't think twice as I hadn't used the old NT account in over 6 months if not longer. Maybe I'm the only person who doesn't have the NT# memorized. I admited it was my mistake, but this isn't good customer service from either company. I've been with NT for years and stars for over 1. |

In the future I will make an extra effort to ensure I am withdrawing to the correct account. Intelligent people learn from their own mistakes, wise people learn from others' mistakes. |

[/ QUOTE ] You do realize that Neteller has to pay conversion fees to the banks involved in the transfer. It is perfectly reasonable for them not to refund your money because of your mistake. Stars just transfered the money to the specified account. They can't be held responsible either. You got the shaft out of a few bucks. Tough luck. Check the account numbers next time. Saying that you will be moving your play because you screwed up is retarded. |
Re: NETeller & Pstars both SUCK
You ought to email Pokerstars, and tell them to completely block your old account.

[/ QUOTE ] NETeller does not pay any fees to any banks while the money is sitting on their system. They took a little off the top when it went from PS to my old CAD account. Then again when it went from my old CAD account to my active USD account. You're right, it didn't work. PS could care less about my business. Now the CS reps are sending me total crap responses in the hopes I give up and stop replying. I will be withdrawing whatever I have at PS and going to UB I think. I'll also start using another ewallet or eCheck whenever possible. |

Then when it goes to your USD account Neteller is transferring the money between accounts, one held in USD and the other in CAD and there are fees associated with that. Like Sniper said, you made a mistake and there was a cost. That's usually the case. You should accept your mistake and stay at Stars. UB is known for terrible customer service and you certainly won't be doing yourself any favors by moving there. |

PokerStars did exactly what you told them to do and sent the money to the account you specified. Neteller screwed up in accepting money into an account that you claim was old and closed. Then Neteller screwed you by charging you fees to fix your mistake. Why are you emailing PokerStars? Hey! Neteller screwed me over! I was drinking a Pepsi at the time Neteller screwed me. I am going to call Pepsi and get them to repay me my money. I am a loyal Pepsi drinker. If Pepsi won't pay me, I will start drinking Coca-Cola. If that doesn't work, claim you were drinking a beer, contact the beer company, rinse and repeat. Let me know how you do. Under no circumstances try to contact Neteller and blame them for accepting the money into the "wrong" closed account and charging you fees. |
Re: NETeller & Pstars both SUCK
Why do we need to call netteller the first time you make a deposit?
|
Re: NETeller & Pstars both SUCK
The idea that this is PS responsibility in any way is laughable. They did as you asked. So their shortcoming is that they didn't refund the costs incured by you with another company. Are you slow?
I kind of hope they cave and give you the money. You logical process indicates that there is no way you are a winning player and PS is a better place for the rest of us with you playing. You could have an issue with NT. But, I can't see how they could fund a closed account. That just doesn't make sense. |
Re: NETeller & Pstars both SUCK
You actually think that Pokerstars can access your processor account, regardless of the status?
Is it OK for any company go access your personal financial accounts? It's hardly pokerstars that is responsible. Ooh, maybe if their magic 8 ball didn't tell them that your canadian account is closed, then I suppose you could blame them. Or you can blame Mattell for creating a product that can't actually predict the future. Maybe you can hold out on THEM and only buy Fisher Price products. Or how about taking blame for your own stupidity for not telling them beforehand that your account is closed, and not telling them your new account number? Oh, wait. Your first line reads: "I cashed out .... and made a mistake ...." My bad. YOU made the mistake, as YOU admitted. Beavis is right. You screwed up but are more than happy to blame everyone else. Don't forget to boycott your internet service provider and the company that made your PC, cuz those products/services aided in this whole situation. |
Re: NETeller & Pstars both SUCK
NETeller charges the fees, they make some extra money that way.
It's not abnormal by any means that I contacted the site I was dealing with first and that I expected them to move the money into my proper account. I did not contact them first regarding the money that was stolen from me. I contacted NETeller for this who happily gave me the shaft. Only afterwards did I contact Stars regarding the exchange issue. Initally I contacted Stars to complain about the hassle they gave me fixing the cashout error. |

[/ QUOTE ] You're still not seeing the point. You requested a cashout to a CAD account. Stars processed the request you asked for. Once they process the request the transaction is complete. Stars is no longer in control of said money as it is now deposited with Neteller. Stars did exactly as you requested. How many times do people have to explain this to you before you understand? Apparently the old account wasn't closed either, as neteller would not accept funds into a closed account. Instead, it's an account that you no longer used and never bothered to close. You also didn't bother to check which account you were withdrawing to when you made your cashout request. Nearly EVERY poker room on the internet defaults cashouts to your first deposit method and only changes that information when you specifically request it, something that you also failed to do. Who's at fault here? YOU ARE! End of story. Get past your anger for a second and think about this rationally because you are blaming the wrong people in this case and will only end up hurting yourself in the end by moving to UB. If anthing your case should be with Neteller and even that's a bit of a stretch considering that the mixup was due to your own actions (or lack thereof). Do you really feel that these companies should be liable for your mistake? |

Re: NETeller & Pstars both SUCK
If I had done something like this I would have accepted responsibility for MY mistake, paid the extra fees and moved on.
However, if neteller had told me that the CAD account was closed and that it would no longer accept any transactions then I would point this out to them and insist that they shouldn't have accepted this transaction in the first place. I can't possibly figure out the logic as to how Stars could be at fault here for something that is your fault (and perhaps partially Neteller's fault if they had told you that the CAD account was completely closed). That's pretty ridiculous. |
