Please list PokerStars complaints
1. Players sitting out. The new rule should be if you miss 1 round of blinds your kicked out of seat. I am tired of playing 7 handed in a full ring game because people are sitting out. I always have to leave the table and find new table as it breaks soon after the second person sits out. 2. All tables should be fast tables when regards to dealing the cards. As far as time to act is concerned leaving it the same will be ok, but all the tables should be on the fast dealing mode. 3. Dont automatically fold our hand when we time out, This should be a default "check" I blieve there was a thread about this earlier as well. 4. Allow us to turn off the chat box, I am tired of seeing every single action. We should be allowed to have only summary, or only player chat activated in the chat box. Seems like Pokerstars is the only company that values its players and listens to their concerns so please go ahead and list anything that you feel should be fixed or altered. |

Re: Please list PokerStars complaints
I'm pretty surprised you didn't bitch about the tables popping up when you didn't want them to.
|
Re: Please list PokerStars complaints
People have to smoke/answer the phone/duece it whatever. This takes more than one orbit usually. Set a time limit not a hand/orbit limit.

No, I have a couple hour session, I need to let the dog out to whiz and I need to whiz, it is fine picking you up after a couple of orbits, not 1. 2. All tables should be fast tables when regards to dealing the cards. As far as time to act is concerned leaving it the same will be ok, but all the tables should be on the fast dealing mode. I would prefer my cards just pop up, why go thru the motions of dealing anyways? But I guess the fish like it, or it gives them a better "feel". Anyways, fast deals all the time would be okay. 3. Dont automatically fold our hand when we time out, This should be a default "check" I blieve there was a thread about this earlier as well. What? Look at your #1 and #2 above. I would rather have a player sitting out, than some multi-tabling donk semi-sitting-out checking. Fast deal, no sitting out, and then wait for Mr. 12-Table to check? NO. Fold 'em, that will teach them not to hold up the game for everyone. 4. Allow us to turn off the chat box, I am tired of seeing every single action. We should be allowed to have only summary, or only player chat activated in the chat box. I think if you click the dealer tray, you already have these options. WHY ARE YOU PLAYING AT STARS? IT IS TEH RIGGED!!!1!one!! |
Re: Please list PokerStars complaints
If you have to get up to take a break, thats fine. Give up your seat then join waiting list again. Chances are your table is going to be broken anyways by the time you get back.
Just a waste of value if you ask me. I hate it when seats are taken on good tables and players are just out. Thanx for the tip micro I was looking for the options section for that chat box thing. IS that it tho ? No one has any complaints about stars ? |
Re: Please list PokerStars complaints
Not really a complaint, but adding 3 table MTT SNGs to Medium stakes would be nice. I noticed they added 5 tables with the latest update, which is good, but 3 is the sweet spot.

Chances are your table is going to be broken anyways by the time you get back. [/ QUOTE ] That hasn't been my experience. I guess if you are a multi-table donk you don't really realize who you are playing against. Most people sit at a table for a couple of hours. When the table breaks, it is usually because a big tourny has started, or it is everyone's dinner time, etc. Not because someone has sat out. If you find tables breaking because you have sat out, that must mean the fish just left. |

3 is the only thing I think is an issue...
overall though stars is an A+ site...gotta give them props. [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] |
Re: Please list PokerStars complaints
I really hate when i'm multi-tabling and entering chat in one box. Then another table pops up and ruins my chat. GRRRRRR. party kept your chat in one box even if another had priority. at least until you pushed enter on that particular chat box.

Re: Please list PokerStars complaints
Yeah, I do have to give stars its props. The reason being is they have COMPETANT people working there. Not people like me who cant even spell the word. Even tho party has telephone support it takes an hour to get an understand.
" L as in Larry ? NO I said P as in Peter. O that is not our department, then you get transferred somewhere where you have to play the same game all over again. Bull [censored]. All that is left for stars to do is upgrade the VIP program a shnaz and I will put in 97% of my play over there. |

Re: Please list PokerStars complaints
Yes, I want that too.
There is a difference between having them pop-up when it's your action and stealing chat-priority but I don't see any way to distinguish between those two things in the options. On Party, I believe the window would pop-up when it was your action but still would not steal the chat. |

Re: Please list PokerStars complaints
Some of us like regular size tables.
Re-sizeable even a little bit doesn't really appeal to me. I have absolutely no problem playing more than 4 tables by overlaying them over each other and having them pop-up when it's my turn. Kind of prefer it that way. but in order to do that I use the auto-pop-up thing when it's my turn. But I don't think there is any reason whatsoever for it to have to steal the chat as it does. It's incredibly annoying and I don't know why anybody would want it. Ali - I saw your post in another thread about being frustrated when Stars wouldn't pop-up like it was supposed to. Sometimes this might happen if you click 1 table at the exact same moment that your turn comes up on another table. It happens so fast you might miss it. Like when you click an auto-fold check-box for example. Also, I had all kinds of problems with the party pop-up system if I overlapped the tables there. The way that it works on Stars is almost perfect for me except for the chat thing. for example, I can't do the same overlay thing on WSEX because it doesn't wait for you to complete your action on one table before popping-up the next table you need to act on. |

Re: Please list PokerStars complaints
Things wrong with Stars:
- Game play is far too slow. - The interface is far too busy, and the default chips, fonts and cards are too small. Party has clearer fonts, clearer chips, clearer stack and raise representations, clearer cards, and the appearance of speed. In other words, your interface appears slow and clunky, and you try way too hard to be cool. You're in the business of representing a poker game on a screen. Keep It Simple Stupid. - Quit being smartasses. You don't have the best poker site. You were number two for a long time, and STILL haven't come anywhere near Party's numbers or money volume for ring games. That's because you need to: - Quit being tightasses, and spend some money on advertising and affiliates. It's no surprise knowing your owners, but frankly, all they're showing is a very poor understanding of the poker economy, and costing themselves money in the process. - Most other things you do well, but you need to start seeing the forest instead of the trees. |

Re: Please list PokerStars complaints
Stars, PLEASE implement "first available table" option in your waiting list like the way PartyPoker does. I usually play 9 tables and it's a PITA to join each waiting list individually.

It turns on after you win a couple of sessions. Their software finds out what your "surviving" bankroll is and keeps you glued to that amount, allowing you to win when you get under and rivering you to death when you are winning. |

[/ QUOTE ] Yes, they are still well behind Party prior to the US ban, in both dollar volume, high stakes volume, and player volume. Not to mention fishiness. And that's after millions of Party players get cut off. Their marketing is an absolute joke, and their site suffers for it. I'd like to play at Stars regularly, as it's now the biggest site, but the games stink compared to Party. You need solid marketing, affiliate programs and regular new player signups to get lots of fish in. Not HORSE and FPPs. |
Re: Please list PokerStars complaints
Stars is dumb.
They don't give me any bonuses for 4 months, then they give me one that clears in one day. Ok thanks for the $150, I will go back to UB with rakeback+bonus+pts4cash. Bye. |
Re: Please list PokerStars complaints
Why don’t we keep the ‘doomswitch’ idiocy out of this thread so it gets taken seriously.

Re: Please list PokerStars complaints
I agree with the OP's 1st complaint. The sit out times need to be adjusted.

Plus I never know when I've missed an update. Not really a complaint, and I expect it affects very few players, but there it is... |

You can do background, table, etc., although there may be some mods you can't do this way. I believe there is some info on the Stars website on how to do this, also, search the Site Software forum. |

[/ QUOTE ] I am sick of this too, it is not just pokerstars either. one round is plenty of time. if you need more than 5 min you should have to find a new table. People abuse it way too much and just log off instead of leaving their seats. |
Re: Please list PokerStars complaints
I'm not sure how I feel about the sitting-out rule.
Maybe 5-minutes would be better with the exception that if you have returned and are set to play again when the big-blind reaches you then you don't get kicked-off. This includes if some guy sits-out and the blind passes over you automatically. Which sometimes results in you getting kicked-off even though you were sitting there waiting to pay your big-blind. very annoying. I think 5 minutes might be a better rule because of the inconsistency of how long an orbit takes on different tables. I can sit-out and take 2 whole minutes to take a wee-wee and make some more coffee and on a fast 6-max table I still get kicked-off. Whereas on a full-ring table it is possible to sit-out for almost 10 minutes I think and still not get booted. |
Re: Please list PokerStars complaints
How about when you are playing and your wife/GF/roommate/the dog/or whatever does it for you goes under the table? Then you are glad you can sit out 3 orbits.
Thank you Stars |

The sitting out thing really is a problem. I was at four tables last night, all full ring, and all four tables had AT LEAST three players sitting out for the majority of the time I was at the tables. Then they'd pop in to play an orbit and hop back out for two more rounds. That's just ridiculous. |
