Because he has a huge sack. Totally inappropriate. I admire him.

I'm starting to love the whole wacky trump family at this point, Ivana, Ivanka, Donald, Don jr. They are like NVG for the nation.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I think Trump is sounding like a giant douche. I'm going to sue her --- for what, making fun of your hair, saying that you don't have much moral authority. Silly.

My reaction to reading this in the paper this morning was "Haha..that's awesome. Trump is funny."

Watching that clip though, I think the Donald comes off horrible.

I think her most egregious offense was her statement about him having an affair and his first wife leaving him because of it. The opposite is actually true. Marla Maples was the one who had the affair and he divorced her because of it, costing Marla ALOT of money. I don't know much about libel or slander but I think that's what he's going after her for.

Regardless of the outcome of any lawsuit, her days in the limelight are numbered.

Re: Trump Rules

Why is it that

1) Rosie sounds so snippy and immature with her comments.
2) The Donald sounds so authoritative and commanding.

Is it just me? Why does she disgust me so much while the Donald just makes me laugh. I heard this last night on the Brick's show and I could not stop laughing. I think it may be because Rosie seems so upset while the Donald sounds like he is enjoying himself/playing a game.

MelchyBeau 12-21-2006 02:04 PM

Re: Trump Rules

Well, I think it is because Rosie likes to attack everything. She doesn't seem to be someone who would be fun to hang around. Trump might be a blast to be around. He knows he is crazy, and it seems like he knows how to have fun.

Re: Trump Rules

Yeah Trump can be a huge self-promoting tool, but can anyone really argue with his assessment of Rosie O'Donnell? Plus the whole interview is a massive LOL - I can't pick out a favorite quote, but the very last thing he says before it fades is pretty damned funny, in a brutal sort of way.

O'Donnell just sucks period and really The View - watched primarily by a bunch of catty broads who have nothing better to do at 10AM or whenever the hell it comes on - is pretty much her last stop on the way to much-deserved anonymity. I mean, why would guys care about what some fat screechy lesbo has to say about anything?

I think the only reason that she'll stick around longer than she should is that Star (or Starr, whatever) Jones was about the only person going who could compete with her on the Suck Scale.

They're both pretty spot on with regards to their assessments each other.

Re: Trump Rules

I have run into Donald in multiple clubs/bars in NYC and AC and he is *always* warm, friendly, and charming to everyone who comes up to him. I don't know how he stands it. If I was canoodling with Melanie at 2am in a downtown club, I sure wouldn't want random strangers yelling 'The Donald!' at me at the top of their lungs.
He obviously doesn't take him self too seriously for a guy that has to be serious most of the time. BK commercials, etc, he is a great marketer.

Yeah only Trump's was 100x more hilarious and awesome and entertaining which is funny since Rosie is ostensibly an 'entertainer'. I agree Trump is not a good guy but his whole image is being a ruthless powermonger so no surprise there really.

I can't say that I like Rosie, but Trump is full of it as well.

It is obvious that none of this Miss USA stuff is genuine. Trump doesn't really care if Miss USA engages in some underage partying. He is just being a hypocrite in public in order to protect and get publicity for the Miss USA Pageant.

Cuban >> Trump >> Rosie but they all suck in their own ways. Wish Cuban would have gotten more into how Trump was a terrible businessman who misrepresents himself in his entertainment career.

It was actually about whose blog was worth reading at all (not Trump's), but yes, points for reading up to the traffic reference.

No, for saying he has gone bankrupt multiple times only to use it as a means to acquire more wealth when in fact it is his corporation, never himself, that has filed for bankrupcy.

It's de facto slander.

When you tie your corporation so closely to your name it's not hard to make that mistake. It's not like Trump worked for Acme Inc, ToyFarm Corp, and BigCasinos LLC which all happened to go bankrupt. His corporations were fronts for his own personal business ventures so the difference between his bankruptcy and his corporation's bankruptcy is nitpicking imo.

Re: Trump Rules

I don't understand why Rosie is so pissed. As a staunch femenist, she should be thrilled that he's giving a young lady another "shot" to make something of her life.

This, of course, makes sense only if we all agree to pretend that this pageant means anything.

If he stripped her of her crown, Rosie would have been equally pissed. I don't get it.

I know it's cliched, but everytime I see Rosie on TV, I want to vomit. She seriously needs to terminate her person, already.
