Wondering if anyone has heard any gossip about what Stars plans to do to spice up the VIP program.

FWIW - I'll go back to my cat avatar sooner or later.

I think pulling my Bengals avatar right after they lost would be pretty weak.

Agree!

I think the adjustments to the VIP program are likely to only affect those who are Supernova+++ (i.e.200,000VPPs+) which doesn't include me and the other tournament donkeys.

I am kind of curious on what they will do with the VIP freerolls they were running. Hopefully they don't get wiped out alltogether.

Wow, never realized the cat was THAT popular but there have been several requests to bring it back.

I was just getting a little Bengal excited, that's all. But they did indeed get clobbered at Indy. Oh well.

Since so many seem to like the cat I'll pass along the sad news:
I had to have Amanda (the cat) euthanized about a month ago.
Really was tearing me up and I was one freaking sad MicroBob for a few days. Losing a pet sucks.

However, I'm glad her spirit lives on as my popular avatar around here.

are they possibly going to offer partial fpps to the micro players?? I'm pissed they don't. I pay more rake 10 tabling .25/.5 then someone 2 tabling 1/2. That's just a guess but you know what I mean.

I'm sure I'll be able to finish it off but it's taking too long, IMO.

I believe the rake is $0.05 per $1 at those stakes.

So unless the pot gets to $8 (for a $0.40 rake) you ain't getting no FPP's.
Ali should be decent enough to play .5/1 and 1/2 I would think. More FPP's to be had up there of course. And I don't know if they are going to go the partial-FPP route for the micro players.


I also LOL'ed at her location. 2+2 is a wacky place.

I had 8.8k's to go around midnight early on 12/19.

Now it's a little over 1.5 days later.

I now have 4.5 VPP's to go.

SuperNova here I come!!!

It looks like we will have more new Supernovas in December than we had for the whole year up until August 1st. Turbo HU matches are still the fastest way to earn VPPs.

Damn I saw Scottyy as the last poster and thought there might actually be something - now there's a let down. Just hope all those new supernovas don't mean even less value for us existing ones under the new setup. Mind you I should be able to move a few places up the new ladder.

I think the supernova tourny is a riot to play in. I love the flat payout structure, when it gets to ITM it becomes an allin fest to accumulate chips for the top 9 spots. Good times.

I think we are all going to be in for a big dissapointment for the new VIP program.

I am more looking forward to the combining of UB and AB hopefully either poker stars or AB come up with something worthwile.

The thing that is really intersting is how good the VIP program will be at the higher levels like the superdupernovas. I wonder if they will do 10x earning points once you get to 1,000,000 points. That will be awesome.

Wouldn't bet on it. Absolute just retooled their Reward/VIP/Bonus structure and at first glance it appears to suck.

It's not hard.

On 5/10 6-max you get about 100 points an hour I think.
Close to 500 points an hour if you play 5-6 tables.

Points not quite as fast at 3/6 6-max but still decent.

If I would stop surfing the zoo and the damn Brandi thread I would have had way more points by now.

Didn´t play too much in the last 4 months. Got a bit over 330k due to massive play early this ear to be able to buy in for the WSOP ME via FPP.

I´m pretty much curious about the new programm as well. If it´s really fine I think 750k would be possible for me (I have a full time job, so my time playing is limited). I´d be interested to know how many players will make the 1 mill level. Any guesses?
